Recently, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products, and recalled the following vehicles from now on.

1. Recall a total of 7 imported GLE SUVs and GLS SUVs with production dates from February 9, 2020 to June 2, 2020.

Due to production deviations, some vehicles within the scope of this recall may not be fully assembled or additional parts installed, which may increase the risk of injury to people in the collision of vehicles, do not meet the requirements of relevant national mandatory standards, and have safety hazards.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will inspect the seats on the affected vehicles by authorized dealers, performing the necessary rework of unqualified seats free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.

2. Recall a total of 149 IMPORTed CLS, E-Class, GLC SUV and S-Class vehicles with production dates from August 4, 2020 to August 27, 2020.

Due to production deviations in some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the locking card point of the electrical plug of the side impact sensor may not be qualified, and the possibility of the connector of the side impact sensor being loosened during the life cycle of the vehicle cannot be ruled out. If a vehicle has a side impact, this may cause the occupant restraint system to be activated delayed, resulting in a decrease in the restraint protection performance, an increased risk of occupant injury, and a safety hazard.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will check the card point of the side impact sensor on the door of the affected vehicle free of charge through the authorized dealer, and if it is missing, replace the side impact sensor to eliminate the safety hazard.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. recalled some imported S-class and domestically produced C-class vehicles

Recently, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products. Effective immediately, the Company will recall 2,307 domestically produced C-Class (2,095 units) and imported S-Class vehicles (212 units) with production dates from August 31, 2020 to November 10, 2021.

Mercedes-Benz cars that have activated and connected to the Mercedes me account will automatically obtain updates on the configuration of the MBUX intelligent human-computer interaction system from the background server on a regular basis. Due to the deviation of the background server profile, as part of the regular communication between the vehicle and the vehicle background, the vehicles within the scope of this recall may have received incorrect profiles, resulting in some functions and applications (such as TVs, digital user manuals) on the host display of the vehicle MBUX intelligent human-computer interaction system not being disabled as expected when the vehicle is driving. Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. recalls some imported AMG GT vehicles

Recently, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products. Effective April 29, 2022, the recall of a total of 177 imported AMG GT vehicles with a production date from July 17, 2015 to March 15, 2017 will be recalled.

The carbon fiber drive shafts of some vehicles covered by this recall may have residues from the production process attached to their bonded surfaces to the flange, causing their adhesion to the flange to be affected. The connection between the carbon fiber drive shaft and the flange may separate during vehicle operation, causing damage to the gearbox. In extreme cases, there may be power interruption during the driving process of the vehicle, which increases the risk of collision of the vehicle and has a safety hazard.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. will inspect the carbon fiber drive shafts for vehicles within the scope of the recall, and if it is the part number in the affected area, it will be replaced free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.

Recently, Dongfeng Yueda Kia Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products. Decided to recall a total of 395 fourth-generation Jawa vehicles produced between October 27, 2021 and November 19, 2021, effective December 24, 2021.

Within the scope of this recall, due to the poor manufacturing of the internal parts of the actuator of the right electric sliding door control assembly, the right electric sliding door is intermittently closed poorly, so that the right electric sliding door may be opened during the driving process of the vehicle, increasing the risk of occupants falling and being injured, and there is a safety hazard.

Dongfeng Yueda Kia Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the gear assembly inside the right electric sliding door actuator for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.

Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd. and FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. recalled some imported vehicles

Recently, Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd. and FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products, and decided to recall the following vehicles.

1. Effective February 28, 2022, Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd. will recall some of the 2015-2019 imported Beetle, Suncool, Golf, Sharon, Tourwei and Weilan series vehicles manufactured between June 1, 2015 and July 16, 2019, totaling 30,639 vehicles.

2. From February 28, 2022, FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. will recall some imported Audi A1 series vehicles of the 2015-2018 model from June 18, 2015 to January 27, 2018, totaling 6,455 units.

Vehicles covered by the above recall are equipped with 1.2TSI and 1.4TSI engines produced within a specified period of time, and due to manufacturing deviations in the production process, there may be insufficient tightening torque of the oil rail bolts, resulting in bolt loosening during the use of the vehicle. In extreme cases, the seal of the injector nozzle may be broken, causing fuel leakage, and the risk of fire cannot be ruled out, and there is a safety hazard.

Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd. and FAW-Volkswagen AG will commission authorized dealers to replace the engine rail bolts free of charge for vehicles covered by the recall and tighten the bolts according to the new tightening method to eliminate safety hazards.

Emergency measures: If the user notices an abnormal fuel odor during the use of the vehicle, he or she should contact the authorized dealer for inspection as soon as possible.

3. Effective December 24, 2021, FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. will expand the recall of some imported Audi A6 Avant and A7 vehicles from September 25, 2020 to May 18, 2021, totaling 14 vehicles.

Due to the software cooperation problem of the engine and the transmission control unit, when the vehicle is changed from the first gear to the second gear at a lower speed, if the driver suddenly changes the driving intention to release the accelerator pedal at this time, the "engine stall protection mechanism" will be triggered during the shifting process, resulting in an increase in engine output torque, a slight increase in engine speed, and a sudden increase of 3-5km/h within 1-2 seconds, increasing the possibility of accidents and potential safety hazards.

FAW-Volkswagen Will entrust an authorized Audi dealer to upgrade the engine control unit and transmission control unit software for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.

This recall is an expanded recall of the "FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. Recalls Some Imported and Domestically Produced Audi Vehicles" recall event announced on October 19, 2021. The reason for the expansion of the recall is that through further product investigation, it was found that the vehicles covered by this recall have the same safety hazards.

BMW Brilliance

BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. recalls some domestically produced iX3 electric vehicles

Recently, BMW Brilliance Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products. Effective December 24, 2021, the recall will be made of 1,974 domestically produced iX3 electric vehicles with production dates from April 30, 2021 to August 27, 2021.

Within the scope of this recall, the actual and measured values of temperature/voltage may be deviated due to poor welding quality at the pins of the internal contact system of the power battery in some vehicles. When the deviation value exceeds the set safety value, the vehicle will start the battery system fail-safe mode, the fault code or alarm prompt information will appear, and cut off the power battery output, causing the power interruption during the vehicle's driving, and there is a safety hazard.

BMW Brilliance Will replace the power battery module with welding defects free of charge for vehicles covered by the recall to eliminate safety hazards.

Emergency measures: Users are advised to drive the vehicle with caution before receiving a recall for repair. If the vehicle is interrupted while driving, please stop at a safe location and contact the dealer.

Vehicles within the scope of this recall use the in-car double pull unlock method to open the hood, but lack the "hood is not closed" prompt function. If the hood is not fully locked after opening, the driver may be difficult to recognize the state in the car, and in extreme cases, the hood of the vehicle is at risk of being lifted, affecting the driver's line of sight, increasing the risk of collision of the vehicle, and there is a safety hazard.

Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. recalled some imported Model S, imported and domestically produced Model 3 electric vehicles

Recently, Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products, and decided to recall the following vehicles from now on.

1. Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. recalled a total of 19,697 model S electric vehicles imported from January 21, 2015 to November 18, 2020, with a production date.

Vehicles within the scope of this recall may have a slightly backward alignment of the front load compartment latch and the lock latch, which does not affect the locking of the primary lock latch, but may affect the locking of the secondary lock latch. When the primary lock latch is accidentally released, if the secondary lock latch is not locked, the front trunk cover may suddenly open during the vehicle driving, affecting the driver's line of sight, increasing the risk of collision accidents, and there is a safety hazard.

Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. will inspect the secondary locking latch device of the front trunk cover for the vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, and if the front trunk cover is found to be correctly locked by the second-level locking latch device, the front trunk locking device will be repositioned and installed to ensure that it is in the correct position to eliminate safety hazards.

2. Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. recalled some imported Model 3 electric vehicles with production dates from October 4, 2018 to November 20, 2019, totaling 35,836 units.

3. Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. recalled some domestically produced Model 3 electric vehicles with production dates from October 14, 2019 to December 27, 2020, with a total of 144208 units.

After repeated opening and closing of vehicles within the second and third ranges of the recall, excessive wear of the trunk wiring harness may be caused. If this wear causes the core separation of the coaxial cable, it may cause the reversing image to not work properly, thus affecting the driver's field of vision when reversing, and in extreme cases, it will increase the risk of collision when reversing, and there is a safety hazard.

Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will inspect the trunk wiring harness free of charge for vehicles within the scope of the recall. If the degree of wear is within the allowable range of the design of the coaxial cable, a protective cover will be installed for the trunk harness to ensure that the harness has a sufficient bend radius when the trunk is closed to prevent further wear; if the degree of wear is beyond the allowable range of the coaxial cable design, the vehicle will be replaced with a new harness and a protective cover will be installed to eliminate the safety hazard.

Emergency measures: Users should drive the vehicle cautiously before the vehicle recall repair, and contact the Tesla service center for maintenance as soon as possible after the recall begins.

Decided to recall a total of 519 imported Wrangler vehicles manufactured between January 20, 2021 and August 30, 2021, effective December 31, 2021.

Due to the reasons of the instrument combination software, the vehicles within the scope of this recall may cause the vehicle to fail to display the mileage value normally after driving 21473 kilometers (or 13342 miles), which does not meet the requirements of the relevant national mandatory standards. Missing odometer readings can cause the user of the vehicle to miss or delay important vehicle maintenance, and if there is a potential failure of the vehicle part due to lack of maintenance, it may cause an accident without prior warning, and there is a safety hazard.

Chrysler (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will upgrade the instrumentation software for vehicles with a mileage of less than 21,473 kilometers within the scope of the recall free of charge, and replace the instrument combination for vehicles that no longer display the mileage value to eliminate safety hazards.

With effect today, the Company will recall 15 units of some 4×2 pure electric vans manufactured from September 28, 2018 to December 5, 2018.

First, the rear wheel brakes carried by the vehicles within the scope of this recall are two-way self-increasing brakes, and there are quality problems (material problems) in the internal brake linings, the wear and tear of the actual vehicle is faster, the replacement cycle is short, and the automatic adjustment mechanism cannot adjust the clearance in time after the rear wheel brake lining gap becomes larger, resulting in weak brakes and unstable performance, increasing the risk of collision of the vehicle, and there are safety hazards.
