Construction of the Miaohe Reservoir began in 1974 and was completed in 1976. During the period, the people of all ethnic groups in 29 communes, 394 brigades and 2,146 production teams in the county united as one, worked in batches and shifts, and invested a total of 705,700 people.
This event was held in Miaohe Village, so that the masses and tourists can taste the elegant rhyme of calligraphy and painting, watch theatrical performances, watch folk works, enjoy special food, listen to the legendary story of "Casting Ding Xizhui", feel the pulse of Li County's history and culture, and the charm of eco-tourism, and encourage the cadres and masses to continue to carry forward the spirit of the times to overcome difficulties.
In this "Pomegranate Cup" cross-country race, the participants will start from the relief square of the Miaohe Reservoir, follow the 5-kilometer ecological corridor around the reservoir, and go all the way to Shuangqu Village. Competitors chase after each other in the green hills, enjoying the unique charm of cross-country running combined with natural scenery, fully demonstrating the spirit of courage and fearless challenge. The spectators on both sides of the track cheered and cheered for the runners, and the atmosphere was warm.
On the day of the event, activities such as calligraphy and painting exhibitions, fishing competitions, art performances, food exhibitions, folk product exhibitions, cultural and creative product exhibitions, and trade promotions were carried out.
