In the past year, the Lianhuashan area of the "Double Hundred Project" social work station in Shilou Town has cultivated a parent-child volunteer team for community governance, the "Xingyao" Fishing Village Governance Service Team, which has provided a lot of support for environmental sanitation maintenance and awareness advocacy services in Lianhuashan.

In order to further mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of the volunteer team to participate in community governance, on May 19, 2024, Shilou Social Work Station organized 8 pairs of parent-child family volunteers to carry out the "Volunteer Service for the Environment" regular maintenance activity in Lianhuashan Qunxing Village, and put on a new outfit for the "Qunxing Good Neighbor Garden" in the form of "volunteer co-governance", so as to make the garden look new and add diverse colors.

During the activity, parent-child volunteers consciously divided into groups to rebrand graffiti tires and clean the garden environment, and they recolored the tires with the help of their understanding of the culture of the fishing village, reflecting the "blue style" of the fishing village and making the site layout look new. Another group of volunteers matched and replaced artificial flower decorations to improve the overall beauty of the environment and attract more people's attention. In addition, parent volunteers took the initiative to play a guiding role in creating awareness of caring for flowers and trees for child volunteers, actively contributing to the beautification of the community environment, and enhancing their sense of social responsibility.
