The Tesla Model 3 has once again achieved excellent results in the Australian car market, with the Model 3 becoming Australia's best-selling passenger car in March 2022 and surpassing Toyota's legendary model, the Corolla.
According to data collected by the Australian Federal Automobile Industry Association, the Tesla Model 3 was Australia's most popular passenger car in March, with monthly sales of 3,097 units; in second place was the Hyundai i30 with 2,455 units; and in third place was the once-popular Toyota Corolla with 1,924 units.
In the first three months of 2022, Tesla sold a total of 4417 Model 3s, becoming the best-selling electric car in the country, and the Success of the Model 3 in the entire Australian car market is remarkable, after all, even the typical fuel car representative models such as the Toyota Camry and BMW 3 Series have been far behind the Model3 (Toyota sold a total of 3,359 Camry during this period, while the BMW 3 Series sold only 788).
It's still a case where Tesla isn't fully actively shipping vehicles to Australia (Tesla carrier ships don't usually arrive in Australia until the second month of each quarter, so most registrations usually take place in the third month of each quarter) and if Tesla can increase the delivery rate or continue to grow at the same rate, the Model 3 still has a chance to become Australia's best-selling passenger car in 2022.
