Tesla is doing a mid-term facelift in a different way than traditional automakers. The mid-term facelift model may be called "Refresh". The Model 3 refreshes in a similar way to the 2021 Model S and Model X. Small changes in design, platform upgrades and some hardware upgrades are the focus approach.

In the pictures of the new car that have been previously announced, it can be found that the changes in the design are mainly concentrated in the front and rear of the car, the shape of the headlights and taillights has changed, and the new model will be sharper and the lines will be straighter. The taillights were changed from horizontal to vertical.

In addition, the new car has been updated with many features, such as the steering system, newly designed interior lights, improved sound system, and new seats that provide enhanced ride feeling.

Despite such a variety of changes, the price will be cheaper than the current model. In production, Tesla uses integrated stamping to reduce the number of body parts, reduce costs, and improve production efficiency.

Tesla will begin production of the Model 3 Refresh in Gigapress Shanghai and Gigapress, Fremont, California in the third quarter of 2023. The Model 3 is Tesla's first mass-produced model, which is not only affordable, but also proves its excellent performance and high technical capabilities.

For reference, Tesla Model 3 and Model Y are Tesla's main models, and its deliveries in the first half of this year increased year-on-year, with the two vehicles producing 881,600 units and delivering 859,100 units in the first half of the year, much higher than the 533,400 and 533,900 units in the same period last year.

In the first half of this year, Tesla has delivered nearly 889,000 vehicles. In the first half of last year, Tesla delivered 564,000 vehicles, and the delivery volume in the first half of this year increased by 57.62% year-on-year. Tesla delivered 1.31 million vehicles for the whole of last year. In line with Tesla's sales target of 1.8 million vehicles, it has achieved nearly 50% of its full-year target. Tesla is developing methodically according to its own expected goals.
