On March 25, 2022, the President of the Republic of Belarus issued a presidential decree awarding the "Francisco Scalina Medal" to Wu Weishan, an internationally renowned sculptor and director of the National Art Museum of China, at the Belarusian Embassy in China. The medal is one of the first state awards established in Belarus and is the highest award for contributions to art, culture, science and technology in Belarus.
