Chairman Mao Zedong once commented that "Huang Ji is a promising young painter cultivated by New China itself, and he can paint our people." Mr. Hou Yimin once said: Chinese painters have produced a yellow gizzard in the past five hundred years, and in the next five hundred years, they may not be able to produce another yellow gizzard.

Huang Ji is the guardian and disseminator of culture and art in the motherland, in Huang Ji's life, the only hobby is to appreciate Chinese calligraphy and paintings and furniture, he devoted his rich collection and life to create China's first private art museum - Yanhuang Art Museum, which has made important contributions to the exchange of Chinese and foreign art.

He is also a prolific painter with a peculiar aesthetic personality and unique expression techniques in the contemporary Chinese painting world. His ethnic minority figures and animals have distinct artistic personality and artistic charm. Huang Yin's paintings never stick to a subject, he once said: "There are too many good places in China, as long as the thinking is down-to-earth, everywhere is good." The Gobi has the atmosphere of the Gobi, Xishuangbanna has its taste, and Jiangnan has the characteristics of Jiangnan. Painters should have their own living base. ”

Nature is a book that Huang Ji can never finish reading, his sketches have long been famous in the Chinese painting world and even the world painting world, and his paintings pay great attention to modeling, with rough lines, vigorous, imposing, and vivid pen and ink. Huang Ji was a talented painter. The students guided by famous teachers can surpass those of famous teachers, and there are very few, and although Huang Yin was influenced by Zhao Wangyun, he was able to open independent doors later, and his status in the history of painting seemed to be higher, which was determined by his genius factor.

Huang Ji said, "In front of life, I feel particularly small..." "I didn't paint enough, I didn't work hard enough, and when I got old, my body couldn't do it, and I regretted it too late." He sighed: "In front of life, I feel that I am particularly small, particularly clumsy, no matter how well I paint, that is, little by little, there is nothing to boast about." Huang has made outstanding contributions to promoting the development of contemporary art, carrying out international cultural and artistic exchanges, and promoting the great cause of the reunification of the motherland.

He went deep into the frontier and painted diligently, and Huang Guan formed a distinct personal painting style on the rich foundation of life, and was the earliest figure painter in China to break through the Jiang Xu system. "Chinese art is not only painting, the collection is also very rich, boundless, not looking down on foreigners, they collect stamps, teapots are OK." But if you are engaged in Chinese collection, the whole energy is not satisfied, there are too many good things. "He officially began to collect in the 50s, when the salary was very low, only more than 80 yuan, the money was all used to collect, selling paintings was also to buy paintings and antiques, Huang Ji's paintings were sold very cheaply at that time, that is, 20-30 yuan a piece (Qi Baishi's works 45-50 yuan a piece), he owed a lot of debts, but he thought it was worth it.

Huang Ji said that our writers and painters were born and raised on our land, and for thousands of years there is one thing that can be seen and touched that has always run through everything we have, that is, the spirit and tradition of the nation. My art developed on the basis of this belief. Compared with the great artists of his contemporaries, Mr. Huang Has a very obvious characteristic: in addition to having high artistic achievements, he is obviously stronger than other artists in terms of survival, and is a great doer and a great social activist. Imagine that if he didn't do art, he would be very successful in other areas— such as doing business.

The donkey painted by Huang Ji not only paints the cuteness of the donkey, but also draws the virtue of the donkey, and justifies the donkey that has been discriminated against by humans for thousands of years. He once praised the donkey: "In his life, he has experienced many bumps in the road, and he does not complain to the world about injustice." In fact, this is precisely the self-portrayal of the painter's personality.
