The commemorative exhibition "Tadao Ando's Architecture: Dialogue" will be held at the Jia Yuanhai Art Museum on April 30. With "Dialogue" as the axis, the exhibition will set up four exhibition areas: "Prototype of Light", "Reflection on Place", "Symbiosis of Nature", and "Thinking about Time", introducing and displaying the practical work of Tadao Ando, the "poet of fair-faced concrete", so that more people can think about the relationship between nature, nature, and architecture.
At the Ka Yuen Hai Art Museum, staff members are reproducing the façade of "Sumiyoshi's Longhouse". "Sumiyoshi's Longhouse" is a milestone in Tadao Ando's career and reflects his exploration of residential architectural design. The work won the Architectural Institute of Japan Grand Prize after its completion.
The area to the right of the hall will be an equal scale replica of the architectural work, the Chapel of Light. According to reports, the Church of Light is one of the most powerful exhibition techniques for Tadao Ando to express the creative concept of "space archetype". In 2024, the Church of Light, a classic architectural work of the Tadao Ando Church trilogy, was announced to be permanently closed, which became a regret for many audiences. This exhibition will reproduce the architectural work in equal scale, allowing the public to experience the design concept of the prototype of the Church of Light space.

Walking along the white corridor on the right side of the exhibition hall, long scrolls of sketches and design manuscripts leap into view, and the smooth lines and exquisite designs all reflect the ingenuity of the design. The manuscripts on display include a number of famous architectural projects of Tadao Ando, including the reconstruction of the Customs House, the Paris Stock Exchange-Pinault Private Art Museum, the Jia Yuanhai Art Museum, and the Shanghai Poly Grand Theater. Citizens can learn about the origin of design creation and enjoy the scenery from Tadao Ando's memories up close.
