On March 8, Great Wall Motor announced the Group's production and sales data for February, and in February, Great Wall Motor sold 70,792 new vehicles, of which 6,037 were sold overseas.
Compared with 111,778 units in January, Great Wall Motors fell 36.6% month-on-month in February, and even considering the impact of the Spring Festival holiday in February, Great Wall Motors also plunged 20% year-on-year compared with 89,050 units sold in February last year.
As for the reasons for the decline in sales, Great Wall Motor said that it was mainly due to insufficient supply of body electronic stability systems (ESP) produced by Bosch Automotive Components (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.
Bosch is the exclusive supplier of ESP configurations for Great Wall Motors' main models. At present, Great Wall Motor is actively promoting the Bosch Group headquarters and chip suppliers to jointly formulate a production increase plan, and strive to quickly solve the problem of parts supply.
However, in the context of insufficient chip supply, Great Wall Motor's model sales structure also continued to improve, from January to February, Great Wall Motor's sales ratio of models of more than 150,000 yuan increased to 15.5%, and the proportion of intelligent models increased to 88.1%.
The proportion of models of the three major technology brands of lemon, tank and coffee intelligence has continued to increase, reaching 75.1% this year. Next, the product matrix of Great Wall Motors will continue to be renewed, and many models such as Tank 500, Euler Ballet Cat, Euler Lightning Cat, and EulerPunk Cat will be launched successively.
Specific to the brand, the Haval brand sold 41,994 vehicles in February, of which the "national god car" Haval H sold 19,620 units in June; haval big dog sold 7,423 units a month; and Haval god beast sold 5,009 vehicles a month.
It is worth mentioning that the Sales Star of Great Wall Motors, Haval H6, the sales volume in February is less than 20,000 vehicles, which also means that in February this year, Haval H6 once again lost the title of "domestic SUV sales champion", BYD Song's sales have reached 24534 vehicles, Changan CS75 and Tesla Model Y have not yet been announced, but sales may be above 20,000.
In the new energy camp, the Euler brand sold 6,261 vehicles in February, of which Euler Good Cat sold 4,066 vehicles in The month. From March 1, 2022 Euler good cat prices began to be ordered, priced at 121,900-151,900 yuan, using a 1 + N customization model, in 2022, Euler ballet cat, Euler lightning cat, Euler punk cat and other products will also usher in the market.
Weipai sold 4,432 new cars in February, including 2,387 latte DHT sales, up 52% month-on-month. The Great Wall Pickup sold 11,637 units in February, of which 8,512 were Great Wall Guns. Tank 300 sold 6,468 units this month, with a cumulative user of more than 100,000. On March 18, the Tank 500 will be officially launched.
