On March 8, Great Wall Motor released its February production and sales data. Data show that in February, Great Wall Motor sold 70,792 new cars, down 20.5% year-on-year. Regarding the significant decline in production and sales data in February, Great Wall Motors said that it was mainly due to insufficient supply of body electronic stability systems (ESP) produced by Bosch Motors.
At the same time, Great Wall Motors also said that Bosch is the exclusive supplier of ESP configuration for Great Wall Motors' main models, and the company is actively promoting bosch group headquarters and chip suppliers to jointly formulate production increase plans and strive to quickly solve the problem of parts supply.
Although single-month sales have declined, Great Wall Motors' product matrix is gradually being optimized, and the proportion of high-value and intelligent products is increasing. According to the data, from January to February this year, the proportion of sales of models of Great Wall Motor above 150,000 yuan increased to 15.5%, and the proportion of intelligent models increased to 88.1%. At the same time, the proportion of models of the three major technology brands of lemon, tank and coffee intelligence has continued to increase, reaching 75.1% this year.
By brand, the Haval brand is still the main sales force of Great Wall Motors, with sales of 41,994 units in February. Among them, Haval H sold 19,620 vehicles in June; Haval big dog sold 7,423 vehicles per month; Haval Divine Beast sold 5,009 vehicles per month, and the cumulative sales volume in the three months of listing has exceeded 21,000 vehicles. As the second model of the Haval Dog category, Haval Cool Dog has carried out naming co-creation and tide color co-creation, and the pace of listing is accelerating.
The Euler brand sold 6,261 units in February, of which 4,066 were sold in the month of Euler Good Cat. From March 1, the 2022 Euler good cat began to be ordered, priced at 121,900-151,900 yuan, using a 1+N customization model. In 2022, Products such as Euler Ballet Cat, Euler Lightning Cat, and EulerPunk Cat will be launched one after another, providing new exclusive cars for more female users.
In addition, the Great Wall pickup truck sold 11,637 units in February, of which the Great Wall Gun sold 8,512 units. Weipai sold 4,432 new cars in February, of which 2,387 were star models, the LATTE, up 52% month-on-month. Tank 300 sold 6468 vehicles this month, and the cumulative number of users has exceeded 100,000. It is reported that the tank 500 will be officially launched on March 18.
In addition to the domestic market, Great Wall Motors also sold 6,037 units in overseas markets in February. It is reported that Great Wall Motors has listed new energy models such as Haval H6 HEV, Haval JOLION HEV, and Euler Good Cat overseas. In 2022, Great Wall Motors will rely on the global R&D, production and marketing system to accelerate the iteration of overseas new vehicles, and more new energy models equipped with core technologies such as lemon-hybrid DHT will be listed overseas.
It is worth mentioning that Great Wall Motor released the GWM brand ASEAN regional super symbol and the "4+4" strategic layout of the ASEAN market at the first anniversary conference of the GWM brand in Thailand held in February. Great Wall Motor said that in 2022, on the basis of the four markets of Thailand, Brunei, Laos and Myanmar, it will officially launch the normal operation of Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Singapore, form a "4+4" ASEAN market strategic layout, and accelerate the implementation of Great Wall Motor's 2025 globalization strategy.
