Khaz news agency/Nur-Sultan/February 9 – The State-owned holding company of Bajtelek announced the list of new board members on the 9th.

According to the decision of the sole shareholder (Ministry of Economy of Kazakhstan), the state-owned holding company of Bajtelek elected a new board member on the 9th.

The new Board members are as follows:

Chairman of the Board of Directors – Ali Khan Smaylov (Prime Minister of the Government);

Member of the Board of Directors – Roman Scalar (First Deputy Prime Minister);

Member of the Board of Directors - Timur Suleimanov (First Deputy Director of the Office of the President);

Member of the Board of Directors – Albek Kuanterlov (Minister of State Economy);

Member of the Board of Directors - Helbek Uskenbayev (Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development);

Member of the Board of Directors – Yel'ulan Gamma Ubayeh (Minister of Finance);

Member of the Board of Directors – Yelpole Karashukov (Minister of Agriculture);

Independent Director – Klaus Mangold, a former Rothschild Group executive;

Independent Director – Thomas Mirow, former President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development;

Independent Director – Philip YEO, former Chairman of Spring Singapore.

It is understood that the Board of Directors will, in accordance with the Act of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Joint-Stock Companies, to settle issues within the exclusive competence of the State Ministry of Economy and the Management Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, except for the direction of the holding company.

The Board of Directors of The State Holding Company of Baytielek consists of 10 members of the Board of Directors, 3 of whom are independent directors. In addition, the members of the Board of Directors are elected by the Sole Shareholder, the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the State.
