They used their powers to embezzle airport construction funds, shipbuilding loans for flood relief, river management funds, relief grain for cadres' families, local grain, withholding and exploiting the supply of grain for migrant workers, and defrauding bank loans, totaling 1716272 million yuan (old currency). Both were eventually sentenced to death and executed immediately.
