What is "motion development"?

Host: It is understood that the children of the two guests love sports. Through observation, it can be found that most children in life prefer to "move", but some children seem to be less fond of sports, what is the reason for this?

Xin Ming: For children who do not like to move, we should pay more attention to see if it is caused by the delay in "motor development", especially in the current situation that the new crown pneumonia epidemic is repeated and has an impact on outdoor activities.

Reporter: The word "action development" is relatively unfamiliar to many people, please explain it to Mr. Xin.

Xin Ming: For the concept of "action development", although many parents do not know much, in fact, we Chinese parents are particularly concerned about "action development", for example, as the saying goes: "three lifts, four flips, six sittings, seven rolls, eight climbs, weekly walking, in fact, these sayings are "action indicators", but also very scientific, can be said to be a milestone in the "action development" of mainland children. However, I have observed that once a child can walk, many of us parents no longer pay attention to "motor development". In fact, the child's motor development until the age of 10 still follows the trajectory of science.

In fact, the Ministry of Education is very concerned about the development of children's movements, the Mainland Ministry of Education issued the "3-6 years old children's learning and development guide", is a programmatic document for the development of children's early childhood stages, the document mentions the five major categories of early childhood development, of which there is no sports or sports in the health category, but separately mentions the development of movements.

I think that there are many children who do not like to move, and it is possible that there is a delay in motor development, and this proportion is still relatively large.

There is an international assessment of motor development, called the "TGDM-3 assessment", through which you can know which child is stunted and intervene as early as possible. For children who love to move, let the child move more and better, and for the child who does not love to move, let him fall in love with moving, because it is the nature of the child to love to move.

Host: If the motor development is delayed, what problems will it bring to the child's growth and development?

Xin Ming: When we were doing children's motor development assessment before, we measured more than 200 people according to the international scale, and only one of them reached the full score, and most of them were at a level of just passing or failing. There are seven grades of this assessment result, the lowest grade of the child, there are many performances that do not love to move, such as always like to let the mother hold, because he may have gait problems, hip tilt forward, moving will be very tired, so do not love to move.

Delayed motor development will lead to delays in the development of children's brain cognitive function, emotion, social, learning ability, etc., so I think that before talking about sports and sports, we must first pay attention to whether there is a problem with the child's motor development.

Xin Ming: The five major areas of child development in our country are divided into health, language, society, science, and art, while Europe and the United States are divided into body, language, emotion, social, and cognition. For example, emotions, some children "do not understand", parents are in a hurry, the child is still there to fool around, which may be the child's emotional development is delayed.

Through exercise, children's language, emotions, social interactions, cognition, etc. can be improved. For example, in a group game, children need to recognize other people's expressions, which require emotional cognition, but also need to communicate and communicate with small partners, which requires language, but also needs to remember simple rules, which is the brain concentration, working memory and other cognitive functions.

Of the five major areas of child development, sport can solve the other four most critical aspects of child development in one stop. And doing other things, it is difficult to get such an ability, such as when practicing emotions or socializing, you can't practice the body. Only when exercising can children develop emotional, verbal, social, and cognitive abilities at the same time, especially when playing group games.

Host: If the weather is bad, you will usually stay at home. So, when the child plays at home, the action and sound may disturb the neighbors, which requires serious communication with the child, so what experience can the two of them share in communicating with the child?

Wang Yuan: When the child is young, he may not understand these things, but we will constantly tell her, don't disturb others, don't make loud noises in public, don't run around, don't jump around, I often say to her, not disturbing is a kind of politeness, but also a manifestation of your moral cultivation.

When my child was younger, I would often tell her stories, give examples, or tell her in a transposed way.

I think that it is difficult for him to understand the big truth with the child, think in a different position, tell a story, there may be some things that parents need to say continuously, and the child will know slowly.

Xin Ming: I think the fact that children are disturbing people at home may be because they are bored. In our family, we basically bought back all the balls that can be seen on the market, such as table tennis, baseball, rugby, etc. I think that children must play with more things and have fun.

I find a lot of families, books or other things, but very few sports stuff. For example, two or three-year-old children, physical control is relatively poor, balloons are a very slow thing, blow a balloon for children, he can play for a long time, but also easy to control. If you give him baseball, you can't play it, so give him something soft, big, stupid, and slow, and you can play for half a day, with the help of this kind of tool.
