Which sports are suitable for children to grow up efficiently? Future Network invites experts to tell you...

Editor's Note

The Beijing Winter Olympics have received widespread attention, sports have become a hot topic, and now it is during the winter vacation, so for children who love to move by nature, how to strengthen exercise and scientific sports at home? What should we pay attention to when exercising?

Around the above problems, the future network reporter invited Wang Yuan, president of Mailrayland (Beijing) Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Technology Co., Ltd. and chairman of U+space golf club, and Xin Ming, CEO of Beijing Baby Love Movement Technology Co., Ltd. and founder of Cognitive Xia Children's Sports, to come to the live broadcast room of the future network, and Liu Yanan, a reporter of the future network, and Song Zipeng, a trainee reporter, discussed topics related to children's sports during the holiday.

The following is based on excerpts from the live interview recordings.

Let the child exercise depending on the age group, otherwise...

Host: How many grades are the children of both guests in? What kind of exercise do you usually like to do?

Wang Yuan: My daughter is now 9 years old, in the fourth grade of primary school, she is still relatively fond of sports, and the two sports she likes and is interested in are golf and horseback riding.

Xin Ming: My child is 6 years old and two months old, still in kindergarten class, he also likes to move, every day after school to play outdoors for more than an hour, participate in training camps on weekends, and like running, basketball and other sports.

Host: Now, the children are on winter vacation, and after the holiday, they are facing the problem of guardianship, the two as parents in life, who is generally going to take the children at home?

Wang Yuan: My daughter has been brought a lot by me since I was a child. After the holiday, I have more than half of the time to arrange the work, and when I am really busy, I will also ask the child's grandfather and grandmother to come and take the handle. But basically I mainly take the child, and I pay more attention to her daily life, study, and sports.

Xin Ming: Our family situation is similar, and the child's mother brings more. I mainly arrange some age-appropriate sports for him on the weekends.

Host: In the past, after the children's holidays, they may arrange for their children to go to the counseling class, but now after the "double subtraction" policy has landed, the tutoring classes in the compulsory education stage of the society have become the past tense, so this holiday, what do the two want the children to do?

Wang Yuan: After the "double reduction" policy, although the training of subjects has become a thing of the past, learning this matter cannot be relaxed for our fourth-grade primary school children. I tell my children that learning is something you have to continue to do all your life, although it is said that there is a holiday, and there is no subject tutoring class to go to, but there should be some planned learning every day. For example, reading books, writing and writing, etc. are still necessary, but there will not be many, so that she does not feel stressed. Because she is still in the process of developing a learning habit.

Then there will also be sports, usually at home is mainly jump rope, when the weather is good, go downstairs to ride, before the summer in the nearby school playground running, playing badminton.

Because we have our own winter camp, I will send the child over there, at least for a week, to send her over at nine o'clock in the morning, and then I will pick her up in the evening, in addition to the study of golf skills, there is also asana training. After sending her in for training, I can also use this time to do my own thing steadily. She was also very happy to let her go to the training camp.

Xin Ming: I think that as usual, every day after school, we let him and his friends play freely, because I think he needs to develop emotional and social functions at this age, so it is good to chase and play with his peers.

On Saturdays and Sundays, I let him play fun basketball, which is actually a physical game class in the guise of basketball, not real basketball. According to the long-term development model of athletes, it should be 9 to 12 years old to learn to train, I personally will not let him overtrain, or must practice to what extent, I will not.

If the child does not like it during the training process and feels bored, it is a problem with the curriculum. Why doesn't he get bored with his children? In fact, it is fun, so we do not set up any sports projects now, involving the principle of outdoor "medium and high intensity" sports, so that children can play more cooperative games. When the child is 9 years old, I will let him try more sports, just like eating a buffet, and choose what he likes to eat.

In fact, according to the requirements of "motor development", these two aspects of the child can be exercised. The first is to exercise the child's displacement ability, such as running, jumping, and straddling, and handling his own relationships on his own. The second is to improve the ability to control, that is, the ability to kick, hit, shoot and pick up with the help of objects. Therefore, I think that now the child's displacement ability should be improved, the control skills should also be improved, after laying these foundations, when the child is 9 years old, I will give him a feast of sports, let him choose his favorite sports. Therefore, in sports, I do not use projects to bring children, but to improve the corresponding skills of children according to age according to the principle of sensitive periods.

Host: As a parent, what sports do you want your child to do after the age of 9, or stick to a certain sport?

Xin Ming: I personally hope that he will do more confrontational sports, that is, there is no "net", such as basketball, rugby, boxing, etc., in fact, I want him to try it, I can't see his strengths now, but I can guarantee that he likes sports very much, my personal preferences are not important, mainly depends on the child's own choices.

Wang Yuan: I think this is still based on his own preferences, and my principle is that since you have chosen, I hope you can stick to it. When you feel difficult, bitter, and tired, I will definitely spend this time with my child, and my child will continue to set new goals.

Just after listening to Mr. Xin's lecture, I was also thinking, my daughter actually likes sports now, maybe she went to kindergarten class, I took him to participate in physical training, when the coach took the child to various jumps, I especially did not understand why this exercise, and then the teacher said, this is to exercise the coordination ability of the child's body. I think her love of outdoor sports may also have something to do with this influence as a child.

At that time, I found that she did not like to go outdoors, and what she liked, such as going to the zoo, walking the dog, etc., were all small activities. She didn't like it for intense sports, and then she went to physical fitness classes, and I think there was a change at that time.

Which sports are suitable for children to grow up efficiently? Future Network invites experts to tell you...

How long does your child exercise and to what extent is it appropriate to exercise?

Host: During the winter vacation, what do children need to pay attention to when exercising?

Xin Ming: Winter vacation, for children's sports, I have a principle, that is, under the premise of good weather, you must spend more than an hour outdoors every day, why?

Because outdoor glare can prevent myopia, there is an optical unit called "lumens", and more than 10,000 lumens can prevent myopia. The lumens outdoors in the summer are about 100,000, the cloudy days are more than 10,000, the indoor light is generally about two or three thousand, and the indoor light cannot achieve the effect of preventing myopia no matter how strong, so only outdoor light can better prevent myopia. So in principle, you must spend 1 to 3 hours outdoors every day.

It has a set of neural mechanisms, sunlight stimulates the production of dopamine, and remains in the retina, when dopamine is more, the wheelbase of the eyeball shortens. There is a global survey that said that Australian children aged six or seven have an average of 21 hours of outdoor time per week, but when this data was collected in Guangzhou, the average time spent outdoors by primary school students in Guangzhou was 5 hours per week. At present, all three countries in East Asia are the hardest hit areas of myopia.

Host: Children may be physically weaker than adults. So, if your child is exercising outdoors for 1 to 3 hours, will he feel tired?

Xin Ming: This is another criterion, that is, the problem of the intensity of children's outdoor exercise. According to the standards of the World Health Organization, children are required to be outdoors for at least three hours a day, and our country advocates at least one hour of sunshine activity every day.

Specifically, how to understand medium and high intensity? We can set it to 0-10, stationary is 0, running to gasp is about 10. Medium intensity is about 5, and it can be reached on foot.

In the three hours of outdoor sports, the child should ensure that he remains in this state of walking or running, so that he can qualify and be called outdoor sports. Children's outdoor sports is not a bend, exercise needs to have a certain intensity, from walking to running, to achieve a total of one hour of medium and high intensity exercise.

In addition, for younger children, I think it is not suitable to learn some professional motor skills.

For example, my child is in the 0-6 age stage, this stage is in the sensitive period of learning motor skills, he can actively exercise, train basic motor skills, but it is best not to participate in the competition. At the age of 6 to 9, you need to continue practicing the action mode, you can participate in small competitions, but you must focus on happiness.

Children in the 0 to 6-year-old stage, in the sensitive period of learning basic motor skills, at this time, we can design some games to play with him, and we can also play with peers, which can improve the child's emotional and social skills.

Therefore, we now want to let children maintain exercise every day under the premise of having fun, medium and high intensity, and outdoors, except for rain and snow.

Host: Mr. Xin just said that there are three aspects of fun, medium and high intensity, and outdoors, so which aspect should be ranked first?

Siming: I think it's fun, and if there's no fun, everything is gone. I remember a report that presumably meant why 70% of children who trained prematurely would leave the program at the age of 14. In fact, premature specialization will have an impact on my child's confidence, so why should I improve my child's basic athletic ability now? For example, practicing a sport, just starting to train, the child runs fast, and his confidence comes out quickly. Once the child has self-confidence, he will find this project fun. For example, playing basketball, even if the child can't shoot the ball, but running fast, it will produce self-confidence.

Movement also has to have a way, these aspects need to pay attention to...

Host: During the epidemic, many people choose to stay at home, so if you want to exercise at home, is there a better sports program recommended for children to do?

Xin Ming: Because of the problem of disturbing people, I think there are too few sports to choose from indoors. First of all, it is best to choose a sport that has a storyline to introduce and take the child to do. The second is the exercise that relies on some equipment, such as silent basketball, table tennis, etc. The third is the kind of game that parents play with their children at home, parent-child interaction, anyway, quiet basic can be.

Host: When exercising and playing, there may also be a difference between the north and the south, for example, in the north, there are large snow fields in some places, and you can ski, snowball fights and other snow sports. In the south, the weather is warmer, and you can walk outdoors, play games, etc., and these sports may have some dangers. In view of the safety issues of these outdoor sports, what aspects need to be paid attention to?

Xin Ming: This is divided into two aspects, one is to really go to sports, and the other is to play.

First of all, sports, I think there are several principles, the first, let the child know, if the pain must be said out loud, the child does not need to cause the harm of sports injuries at this stage, because the child's tendons and joints are not well developed, it is easier to be injured, so if the child hurts, it must be said out loud, there is no need to use the adult will standard to educate the child. For children under the age of 12, adult standards cannot be used to request, because the child's body and mind are not yet fully developed.

Second, children have to wear the right clothes, when we used to do outdoor activities, some children wore boots and sandals, which was not correct. In outdoor sports, at least wear a pair of shoes suitable for sports, and there is also the right clothes, otherwise it is easy to get hurt.

Third, because the winter is relatively cold, it is necessary to warm up before exercising, from slow to fast, and cannot exercise with high intensity as soon as it comes up.

Fourth, the venue should be safe, if the child is exercising outdoors, be sure to choose a safe venue.

Fifth, there must be adult care at all times.

The above is a sports class. Non-sports is that everyone plays together, and if children play with more dangerous objects such as stones and sticks, they must stop it in time.
