On December 24, 2021, Yuan Yue won the third prize of the People's Scholarship and the Social Practice Scholarship with a total of 600 yuan. She told reporters that she had planned to save it first, but she did not think of how to consume it. By chance, she saw a UP master from Tsinghua who donated more than 10,000 scholarships to help disabled children. Inspired by this, she felt that she had basically lived independently, and the money for the scholarship was not just needed, just an ordinary 600 yuan. If you can make this money bring warmth to everyone, this 600 yuan will be more meaningful.
Since the amount is not large, she wants to make this bonus more valuable by doing more actions. It was the end of the year, the weather was relatively cold, and after asking the opinions of several teachers and friends, she was ready to buy some box lunches on New Year's Eve and personally deliver them to everyone.
Therefore, starting from 4 p.m. on the new year's day, Yuan Yue rode an electric car along Guoding Road, Zhengli Road, Wuchuan Road, Wudong Road, Daxue Road, Zhengmin Road, Songhu Road, etc. around the school to deliver the box lunch one by one to the unfamiliar staff encountered on the road, including couriers, security guards, small traders, sanitation workers, the elderly who recycled waste, shop employees, etc.
Yuan Yue recalled that at the beginning, because of the unclear expression and the lack of people on the road, the first batch of box lunches was delivered for nearly two hours, and several passers-by refused. When it came time to deliver the second batch of box lunches, it was also almost time to eat, and it was much smoother to send, many people said "thank you" when they received the box lunch, and she was also given back two strings of sugar gourds.
