The Taiwan People's Party led by Ko Wen-che was recently exposed to the nomination of two city councillor candidates with drunk driving records, and yesterday issued a statement apologizing to the public for the incomplete nomination method. The People's Party also held an election decision-making committee last night to amend the 2022 nomination method to include the "special clause on the prohibition of drunk driving for nominees", which was announced on its official website today and is expected to be submitted to the Central Committee for approval next Wednesday.

It is stated that drunk driving includes driving any means of transport, whether criminal or administratively wrongful, including but not limited to persons subject to administrative adjudication, criminal punishment, suspended prosecution or probation.
