Rabies is a zoonotic disease with a case fatality rate of almost 100%, and there is no specific drug to treat it.
Beijing implements compulsory rabies immunization for dogs, and from May every year, the city will focus on dog rabies immunization, in which the Beijing Municipal Agricultural Comprehensive Law Enforcement Corps reminds the majority of dog breeders to raise dogs in accordance with the law, scientific and civilized, strictly abide by the "Animal Epidemic Prevention Law of the People's Republic of China", "Beijing Animal Epidemic Prevention Regulations" and other relevant dog regulations, and take the initiative to perform the following animal epidemic prevention main responsibilities:

Units and individuals raising dogs shall be regularly vaccinated against rabies in accordance with regulations. Dogs over three months of age who have reached the age of three months or whose rabies immunization status cannot be determined by the owner shall be vaccinated against rabies for the first time in accordance with the regulations. After the first immunization, the booster immunization is carried out every year as scheduled.

Dog breeders can bring their dogs to the rabies immunization points recognized by the district agriculture and rural departments to immunize the dogs and obtain rabies immunization certificates and identifications. The city's rabies immunization point will no longer charge immunization fees for dogs that have registered for annual inspection and payment in accordance with the regulations.

If the dog owner takes the dog out of the house, he shall wear the dog tag (rabies immunization mark) in accordance with the regulations and take measures such as tethering the dog and wearing a muzzle to prevent the dog from injuring people and spreading the disease, and the dog owner shall not carry the dog without the rabies immunization mark in outdoor activities.
If the dog is not vaccinated against rabies in accordance with the regulations, the dog owner may face a fine of up to 1,000 yuan. Please actively cooperate with and abide by the above regulations, be responsible for dogs, be responsible for themselves, and be responsible for the society, and create a living environment where people and dogs coexist in harmony.
