In 1942, Wang Ping, secretary of the CPC Longyanhuai United County Committee, came to Dong Cunrui's village.
On this day, the Japanese devils suddenly swept through their villages, and Wang Ping, regardless of his own safety, arranged for other comrades to move, while he himself fell into the enemy's encirclement.
At this critical moment, 13-year-old Dong Cunrui stepped forward and pulled Wang Ping to his home to help Wang Ping out of danger.
Later, in a conversation with Wang Ping, Dong Cunrui learned what a revolution was and learned even more about the Eighth Route Army as a people's army.
Therefore, when he was 15 years old, Dong Cunrui wanted to sign up for the Eighth Route Army, but was later rejected because he was too young.
However, this did not stop Dong Cunrui's anti-Japanese enthusiasm. Only two months later, by chance, Dong Cunrui became a member of the Eighth Route Army as he wished.
On the battlefield, although Dong Cunrui was young, he was unambiguous in his fighting, and he always bravely rushed to the front every time he fought.
Because of his bravery in fighting on the battlefield, Dong Cunrui soon became a hero in the army.
Later, Dong Cunrui relied on excellent military technology and made 3 major achievements and 4 small feats.
It's just a pity that Dong Cunrui was unfortunately killed in a battle, and he was not yet 19 years old.
After Dong Cunrui's sacrifice, how did his family live afterwards?
It is understood that when Dong Cunrui died, his parents were still alive. The two elders are relatively old, the father died at the age of 91, and the mother was 80 years old.
Dong Cunrui is the eldest in the family, and there is a younger brother and sister below, who have become useful talents of the country with the help of the state.
In addition to the second elder, younger brothers and sisters, the Dong family also has a daughter-in-law, named Lu Changling, Dong Cunrui's wife. When Dong Cunrui died, he had been married to his wife for four years. Unfortunately, in four years, they did not have a son and a half daughter.
Lu Changling was originally a girl from a neighboring village, and later married into the Dong family. When Dong Cunrui was sacrificed, Lu Changling was working as a farmer in the field, and when she heard the news of her husband's sacrifice, Lu Changling did not close her eyes all night.
