On the 1-meter-wide, 800-meter-long Ying-listed tent in the Chahar Martyrs' Memorial Hall, 6,703 is not an ordinary set of numbers—they are Chahar nationals who died from the period of the Great Revolution to the Period of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and the 6,703 revolutionary martyrs who died in Chahar Province. It took 10 months from the collection of the list to the transcription of the fly-headed letters by local calligraphers in Zhangjiakou to the English catalogue.

The Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Tower is 28 meters high, the tower covers an area of about 3700 square meters, and the martyrs' memorial hall is built in the tower. On the tower are the seven big characters of "Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Tower" inscribed by Zhang Su, former chairman of the Chahar Provincial People's Government, and on both sides of the tower are written "Dying for the interests of the people is heavier than Mount Tai" and "We die for the people, that is, we die for what we deserve."

After decades of construction, the Chahar Martyrs' Cemetery has become an educational base for the vast number of local cadres and young students to remember the revolutionary martyrs and strengthen their ideals and convictions.
