"Demolition Marshal Dong Cunrui, walking back and forth on the edge of life and death. The mountain is as high as iron, who is the southern conquest and the northern war afraid of? The Longhua battlefield was tired, full of flowers and looked like home. Looking at the beauty of the landscape and water in his hometown, he sacrificed himself to the heroes for eternity. ”
This song "Zan Cunrui" praises dong Cunrui, a famous combat hero in the country, who sacrificed his life to blow up the bunker at the cost of his life, which shocked the world and composed a magnificent song that can be sung and wept!

In fact, in that turbulent and war-torn years, countless heroes and sons and daughters sacrificed under the enemy's bunker like Dong Cunrui, perhaps their sacrifices were not as tragic as Dong Cunrui's, but the spirit of sacrificing their lives for the country and sacrificing themselves for the country was generally the same!
So the question is, during the War of Resistance, was the enemy's bunker really so powerful? In what ways did our army conquer one pillbox after another?
The bunker is also called the turret, and if we want to know how our army conquered the turret, we must first know how the turret appeared!
First, the "helpless move" of the Japanese army - the construction of artillery towers
According to the "History of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression," on July 7, 1937, Japanese imperialism planned the "July 7 Incident" that shocked China and foreign countries, and marked by this incident, Japan opened the prelude to an all-out invasion of China, and Chinese the Chinese nation also entered the stage of all-round war of resistance.
The "Battle of Songhu" alone lasted for three months, which made Japan's "dream" of rapid destruction of China a bubble, and the war began to develop towards a "protracted war" unfavorable to Japan!
After the end of the Battle of Wuhan, the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression entered a stalemate stage, and the guerrilla forces behind enemy lines led by our Party became the backbone of the War of Resistance Against Japan, inflicting heavy losses on many occasions against the Japanese aggressors.
And the turrets everywhere are indeed a great threat to our army, the Japanese army can only use seven or eight soldiers to defend a turret, and our army to remove a turret, often need to pay a huge price!
All in all, the appearance of the turret is actually a "helpless move" of the Japanese army, they have no extra strength to deal with the mysterious guerrillas, can only build the turret on the main road of communication, in order to play the effect of "taking the line with the point, taking the surface with the line", and in order to deal with the Japanese artillery tower, our army has also tried various methods!
Second, the "variety of" countermeasures
If the guerrillas led by our party want to make a difference, they will inevitably be unable to avoid the area guarded by the artillery tower, so they cannot hide and can only find a way to remove it.
The first to bear the brunt of it is naturally a strong attack, with absolute force to conquer the turret, but this method can not be used unless it is absolutely necessary, because although there are only seven or eight Japanese soldiers in a turret, their weapons and equipment are very advanced, heavy machine guns, mortars, grenadiers and other heavy weapons are available, and the reserves of living materials are also very rich and can be supported for a long time.
Once our army launches a strong attack, a few Japanese soldiers will be able to drag hundreds of soldiers of our army with advanced weapons and artillery bunkers tens of centimeters thick, and if our army wants to remove them, it will have to pay a huge price, and this price is something we are not willing to bear!
Secondly, in order to reduce casualties, our army has tried to conquer the turret by training sharpshooters and bombardiers, and the reason why the turret is difficult to conquer is because it has a very thick bunker on the outside, but no matter how thick the bunker is, the muzzle of the machine gun is always connected inside and outside.
Therefore, if someone can kill the enemy inside through the machine gun muzzle, or throw the grenade into the machine gun muzzle accurately, our army can easily remove the turret, but such a talent is too rare, so this method is difficult to popularize!
Finally, after the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression entered the middle and late stages, the Japanese army suffered a serious loss of strength, and began to send puppet troops to guard the artillery towers, which enabled our army to see new hope, if we could dismantle the artillery towers from within by plotting against the puppet army, our army would be able to unknowingly remove the artillery towers at a very small cost!
This method is theoretically feasible, and our army has indeed removed some artillery towers through the anti-puppet army, but it has not been promoted on a large scale, after all, not every puppet army in the artillery tower can successfully rebel, and even if it is a rebellion, it may not necessarily ensure the success of the plan.
All in all, although our army has thought of a lot of countermeasures for the artillery tower, but most of them are difficult to promote on a large scale, which makes the Japanese artillery tower cause a lot of casualties to our army during the entire period of the War of Resistance, in fact, if our army has heavy weapons such as howitzers and grenadiers, it can easily remove the turret, but unfortunately our army's weapons are too backward!
Because the turret was too "difficult", after the end of the War of Resistance, some Japanese soldiers who did not want to admit defeat hid in the turret and stubbornly resisted, but this time they could miscalculate!
Third, the old farmer provides a brilliant plan to break the enemy!
After Japan announced its unconditional surrender, some "emotionally" unacceptable Japanese soldiers retreated to the turrets and stubbornly resisted, and in order to remove these turrets, our army initially adopted the method of encircling and not attacking the enemy, so that it could "consume" the enemy inside at the lowest cost.
It is just that the time cost of this method is too large, and later an old farmer provided our army with a "wonderful plan", that is, to burn the corpses of animals or Japanese troops, and then use the wind to blow the smell of burning into the turret, then the Japanese army inside will inevitably be unbearable, take the initiative to escape from the turret, and the Japanese army without the cover of the turret will be easily subdued by our army!
Our army acted according to the plan, and indeed easily eliminated the stubborn Japanese army! If this method is so effective, why not use it during the War of Resistance? This is mainly because during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the enemy was strong and we were weak, and the various artillery towers of the Japanese army echoed each other, if we could not remove the artillery towers with the momentum of lightning and cover our ears, we would inevitably encounter the Japanese troops who came to reinforcements, and where would there be time to burn corpses!
The case of the old farmer's clever plan and wisdom breaking the cannon tower also tells us a truth, that is, "everything is transferred by time, place, and conditions", when the time, place, and conditions change, we must also change our own countermeasures, so that we can stand in an invincible position, in addition to learning to divergent thinking, not stubborn, stuck in our own ways!
brief summary:
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, just one turret could pose a tremendous threat to our army, and it is conceivable how tragic the War of Resistance Against Japan was; in order to win this war that concerned the fate of the nation, countless sons and daughters of china threw their heads and spilled their blood, went forward to succeed each other, and sacrificed their precious lives.
Therefore, we must cherish today's hard-won happy life, and we must always remember the great deeds of our revolutionary ancestors, always keep in mind the numerous crimes committed by the Japanese aggressors against our country, and at the same time work hard to strengthen ourselves, contribute our own strength to the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and build our motherland even stronger!
