Written during the Mid-Autumn Festival in 1903, it is said that Qiu Jin ran away from home after a conflict with her husband and lived in the Taishun Inn in Fucheng, Beijing. These days, I am studying this word with students, searching for relevant information, and I feel that a lot of explanations seem to be inappropriate.
Suddenly thinking that in the past few years, the Xiangtan Municipal Government was conducting systematic research on Qiu Jin, and it happened that Licorice's sister was involved in the work, and she couldn't help but want to get close to this legendary woman.
In the words, Qiu Jin repeatedly lyrically. Or borrow the bright autumn colors to reflect the bitterness of the heart, or directly express the unwillingness of being a woman, express the dissatisfaction of marriage, sigh the regret of zhiyin's difficult encounter, and complain about the sadness of the country's peril.

On July 15, 1907, Qiu Jin calmly took up his righteousness and fixed his life at the age of 32.
Her life was like a meteor across the night sky, short but radiant. Some people praise her as a heroine, a hero who dedicated herself to the revolution; others say that such a woman is too tossed and selfish, and her family has sacrificed too much for her.
Indeed, before joining the revolution, Qiu Jin's life was enviable. Born in a family of scholars, with a beautiful appearance and full of affection, her husband's family is the Wang family known as "millionaires" in Xiangtan.
Her husband, Wang Tingjun, was two years younger than her, polite and obedient to her. After marriage, the husband and wife are harmonious. Wang Tingjun ran a pawnshop while extending his teacher's lessons, while Qiu Jin practiced poetry, calligraphy and painting, practiced boxing and martial arts, and took care of family affairs.
There are fathers and in-laws who love each other, and there are smart and well-behaved children below, and such a quiet and good year should be the happy life that most women dream of.
But she is not the same as the ordinary moth eyebrows, has a rebellious heart, a liver and gallbladder that is stronger than men.
She has had a heroic spirit since she was a child. Because in a relatively relaxed and democratic family, she was not only able to learn cultural knowledge, but also to practice boxing, horseback fencing with her brothers, capable and assertive. Later, the Qiu family gradually weakened, but as a daughter, she consciously took on the responsibility of family rejuvenation.
And Wang Tingjun has been pampered since childhood, although he has no bad habits of a clumsy disciple, he has always been practicing literature to take the imperial examination. But he is just an ordinary man with mediocre qualifications and no ambition in the world, who only wants to keep a family business and live a warm and quiet life.
Such a husband obviously cannot meet Qiu Jin's expectations for his role, nor can he really enter her heart, and it is even more difficult to win her respect.
In the eyes of others, they are happy. But happiness is just a state of mind, cold and warm self-knowledge, happiness in the eyes of others is always "the happiness you think". No matter how much her husband loves his family and is gentle and tolerant of her, she and he are always unable to share the same frequency.
What he wants is stability in this world, and what she wants is grandeur. The difference in ideological concepts and value pursuits doomed their marriage to be a tragedy and could not last long.
Finally, the blood flowing in her bones boiled over in the journey of accompanying her husband to Beijing. That year, she came into contact with Western studies for the first time, witnessed the devastated motherland and the corruption of the Qing court after the Eight-Power Alliance invaded China, and was extremely indignant in her heart, determined to dedicate herself to the cause of national salvation.
But her husband couldn't understand her. In his eyes, these are men's business. But who says women are inferior to men? Qiu Jin, who has been an idol of Mulan since childhood, Qiu Jin, who disdains to be a noble lady who is pampered and superior, and Qiu Jin, who hates the concept of male superiority and female inferiority, is extremely bitter in the face of her husband's opposition and the incomprehension of her clan.
Eight years of marriage is the waste of her years, and the warm little home is the cage that traps her.
Three years later, she went north with her husband again. This time, she decided to leave a son and a daughter and go to Japan to study at her own expense. Long in the cage, back to nature. In Japan, in addition to studying, she also met many outstanding talents, who together ran newspapers, gave speeches, wrote patriotic articles, advocated equality between men and women, and made it their mission to overthrow Manchu Qing rule and restore the Central Plains.
In 1905, Qiu Jin, who had returned to China after completing his studies, became acquainted with Cai Yuanpei, Xu Xilin and other progressives and joined the Guangfu Society. Later, he went to Japan, joined the League, became the first female party member, and devoted herself to the revolutionary cause.
In 1907, after a unsuccessful divorce, she resolutely broke with her family and declared her separation from the family relationship.
It is reasonable to say that after escaping from the family's cage, Qiu Jin should let the birds fly in the sky and the sea be wide with fish leaping. The same is true.
However, her family is her concern all the time, because she knows that her family loves and tolerates her.
Her husband, Wang Tingjun, loved and respected her. Although he did not support his wife's "out of line" behavior, and even hid money and clothing to prevent her from studying abroad, he finally asked a Japanese friend to take his wife abroad and take his four-year-old daughter to send her off.
After Qiu Jin went to Japan to study, Wang Tingjun also resigned and returned to his hometown widower' residence, and took his two children to live a semi-reclusive life.
At the beginning of 1907, Qiu Jin suddenly returned to the Wang family, and Suo Yin opened the Datong Academy, and the Wang family knew that this was an anti-imperial act, but still chose to support her. But no one expected that after getting the money, Qiu Jin would actually say goodbye to her family and declare that she was separated from the family relationship.
If her family speaks harshly to her, or even abuses her, no one will blame her. The Wang family was so good to Qiu Jin. In the eyes of people at that time, such a woman must have been crazy if she was not ungrateful.
In the face of the spit and scolding of villagers and relatives and friends, she did not have any explanation and could not explain. No one could have imagined that she was also tender inside with a heroic bone. It was precisely because she understood that she had chosen a road of no return, and after deciding to participate in the planning of the uprising, she chose this way to hide her eyes and ears in order not to connect her family.
On the one hand, there are the relatives who love her and the people she cares about, and on the other hand, the motherland that is deeply affected by disasters. Where do we go from here? The answer is already clear. All this, if it is a man, how many people will spit and scold? As a woman, even today, you will encounter criticism, let alone in that era?
Who knows me? The hero's end is a grind. All this was anticipated by Qiu Jin as early as the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival in 1903. It was only for various reasons that the uprising eventually failed, and the heroine turned into blood.
In the third year after her sacrifice, Wang Tingjun died of excessive thoughts and depression, leaving behind a twelve-year-old son and a six-year-old daughter. Fortunately, one of her sons and daughters inherited the excellence of their mother and was raised by well-wishers.
His son Wang Yuande founded many civilian enterprises in his lifetime, became the richest man in the local area, and was a patriotic man with achievements; his daughter Wang Canzhi was also as literate and martial as her mother, and became The first female pilot in China.
In that era, a woman abandons her family and children, runs for a vague future, knowing that few people understand but does not regret nine deaths, what is she for?
This reminds me of Master Koichi. Li Shutong, a gentleman born in a wealthy merchant's family, a master of poetry, words, calligraphy and painting, seal carving, music, drama, and literature, abandoned his wife and children at the age of 39 and decided to leave the family and lived the life of an ascetic. His Japanese wife knelt down and waited for three days and three nights, and only waited for one sentence: "Love is compassion." ”
The Buddhists talk about compassion, but why is he so desperate for his wife and children? Many people in the world do not understand, and even some people accuse him of being a "scumbag".
All this, the Master did not speak, and when he died, he left the world with the four words of "intersection of sorrow and joy".
Those who understand him will understand. Perhaps, Feng Zikai can explain the "three floors of life" of the teacher: "I think that human life can be divided into three layers: one is material life, the other is spiritual life, and the third is soul life. Material life is food and clothing. Spiritual life is academic literature and art, and soul life is religion. ”
Isn't Qiu Jin's choice exactly like this?
In the history of mankind, are there still fewer benevolent people who have sacrificed their lives for ideals and for faith? It is just that in that era, their ideas were far ahead of the world; it was just that ordinary people of my generation had always lived on the first or second floor of life.
This is suffering as I understand it. And they are as willing as they are.
