At the age of 21, Qiu Jin married Wang Tingjun. At that time, the two people's families were right. At that time, Li Zhongyue of San'in County admired Qiu Jin's talent and courage, so he deliberately tried to protect the students of the Chase Academy. He also tried to protect the Datong Academy in front of Guifu, the prefect of Shaoxing, saying that the matter had nothing to do with the Datong Academy.

First of all, Qiu Jin wanted to write a letter to the family, secondly she wanted to keep a whole corpse and not behead her head, and finally, Qiu Jin hoped not to strip clothes after death and leave some dignity. Under the efforts of Li Zhongyue, Qiu Jin's next two wishes were satisfied, and only the one who wrote a family letter, Guifu did not agree to it no matter what. On July 15, 1907, under Guifu's intentional arrangement, Li Zhongyue escorted Qiu Jin to execution. However, after Qiu Jin became righteous, Guifu turned his face and said that Li Zhongyue was Qiu Jin's party member and harbored the prisoners. Li Zhongyue was convicted of leaving Shaoxing, and he decided to go to Hangzhou.
When he left Shaoxing, his father and fellow villagers came to send him off, and Li Zhongyue only felt heartache for Qiu Jin's death. He repeatedly said that it was a pity that he could not protect Qiu Jin, and the saddest thing was that even her last wish could not be fully satisfied. After arriving in Hangzhou, Li Zhongyue was often depressed about this, and even wanted to commit suicide. Several times it was his wife who stopped him, and he did not die. However, when his wife always went out, once when his wife was out, Li Zhongyue committed suicide by hanging himself, expressing his guilt by dying.
When Li Zhongyue committed suicide, it was only a hundred days before Qiu Jin was sacrificed. After his death, the gods entered the Qiu Jin Ancestral Hall, and the Qiu and Li families became close friends.
