According to data released by the Association of Passenger Vehicles, in November, the domestic narrow passenger car market sales were 1.816 million units, down 12.7% year-on-year.

By December, the impact of chip shortages had slowed. "China Business Daily" reporter learned from faw-Volkswagen officials that on December 23, faw-Volkswagen vehicle production peaked at 10,777 units per day, setting a record high again after last year. From the perspective of single-day production, the shortage of FAW-Volkswagen chips should be temporarily alleviated.

According to the data of the Association, FAW-Volkswagen has accumulated sales of 1.6222 million vehicles (including Volkswagen, Audi and Jetta) from January to November this year, with a market share of 9%, and its sales volume and share rank first in the domestic market. Compared with the "runner-up" SAIC Volkswagen in the list, FAW-Volkswagen leads more than 300,000 vehicles and is expected to win the annual sales championship.

Specifically, the Volkswagen brand continues to maintain the dual line of sedan + SUV power. In terms of cars, Bora and Sagitar are still the main models, with Bora's cumulative sales reaching 235,200 vehicles this year, and Sagitar's cumulative sales reaching 210,500 vehicles, both of which have entered the top ten of the car market. However, affected by the "lack of core", Volkswagen's two main models have declined to a certain extent.

In terms of SUVs, the sales of Tangyue and Tange maintained steady growth, and the new SUV coverage also brought new growth points to the sales of the public. However, the two models of Tangyue and Tange did not enter the top ten list of cumulative SUV sales from January to November. Compared with its own brands and Japanese brands, FAW-Volkswagen SUVs still need to enhance their competitiveness.

In terms of new energy, since the launch of the FAW-Volkswagen ID. series models this year, sales have been in a steady climbing stage, and the third and fourth quarters have performed well.

The Audi brand is FAW-Volkswagen "profit cow", in the face of the global "chip shortage", FAW-Volkswagen strives to protect Audi. In 11 months, Audi sold 639,000 new cars in China. In terms of specific models, the Audi A6 sold a total of 146,200 units from January to November. The Audi A4 has sold 113,600 units. From January to November, the Audi Q5 sold 128,900 units.

It is worth noting that recently, Sun Huibin, executive deputy general manager of FAW-Volkswagen Audi Sales Division, proposed at the 2021 Audi dealer annual meeting that Audi's 2022 system target, that is, the annual business plan of 800,000 vehicles (a slight increase on the basis of 780,000 vehicles in 2021), EBT% reached more than 3.0%.

In addition, the reporter learned that in 2022, FAW-Volkswagen Audi will launch a brand renewal plan, start a luxury remodeling, and launch an electric vehicle offensive. At the "Audi Future Ceremony" in November this year, FAW-Volkswagen Audi said that by 2022, the brand will lay out 10 electrified models in China, of which 4 are domestic models, thus giving users a new experience of electric luxury travel.

In terms of new energy sales transformation, 2022 will be a key year for the Audi brand to build future-oriented new energy sales capabilities, of which Q4 e-tron is the core of the focus. Finally, in terms of user operation, in 2022, the Audi brand will make great efforts to open up various fields and form a joint force for the overall operation of the whole system.

The jetta brand has sold more than 140,000 vehicles from January to November. For the overall sales of jetta this year, the relevant person in charge of the jetta brand said at the Guangzhou Auto Show: "This year, because of the lack of chips, (in) a state of relative shrinkage, jetta has a very considerable growth, we are still relatively happy." ”

For 2022, the Jetta brand revealed that there will be two redesigned models on the market, and at the same time, some products will be made through the IP mastered for hot events. In addition, the reporter learned that the Jetta brand is planning new energy.
