People's Daily Beijing, December 15 (Reporter Wang Lianxiang) According to the statistical analysis of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, from January to November 2021, the production and sales of new energy vehicles in China continued to reach a new high, with a cumulative output of more than 3 million vehicles and sales of nearly 3 million vehicles. In November, the market penetration rate of new energy vehicles was 17.8%, which continued to be higher than that of the previous month, of which the market penetration rate of new energy passenger vehicles reached 19.5%.

In November 2021, production and sales of new energy vehicles totaled 457,000 units and 450,000 units, up 1.3 times and 1.2 times year-on-year, respectively.
From January to November 2021, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 3.023 million units and 2.99 million units, respectively, an increase of 1.7 times year-on-year. The market penetration rate reached 12.7%, higher than in the previous October.
In November 2021, from the perspective of subdivided models, pure electric vehicles increased by 1.2 times and 1.1 times year-on-year, respectively; the production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles increased by 1.6 times and 1.7 times year-on-year, respectively; and the production and sales of fuel cell vehicles fell by 26.4% and 49.3% respectively year-on-year.
From January to November 2021, from the perspective of subdivided models, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles increased by 1.8 times and 1.7 times year-on-year, respectively; the production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles increased by 1.3 times and 1.4 times year-on-year, respectively; and the production and sales of fuel cell vehicles increased by 23.0% and 16.0% respectively year-on-year.
In addition, Fu Bingfeng, executive vice president of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, said at the "2022 China Auto Market Development Forecast Summit" that it is expected that the annual sales of New Energy Vehicles in China in 2021 are expected to reach 3.4 million units, an increase of 160% year-on-year.
