People's Daily Beijing, December 21 (Reporter Wang Lianxiang) According to the statistical analysis of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in November 2021, although the passenger car market was affected by insufficient chip supply and the outbreak of the epidemic scattering point, production and sales rose month-on-month, and the operating trend was basically the same as that in October.

In November 2021, production and sales of passenger cars totaled 2.231 million units, up 12.2% and 9.2% month-on-month, down 4.3% and 4.7% year-on-year, respectively, and the decline was 0.4 percentage points and 0.3 percentage points narrower than in October. Compared with 2019, passenger car production and sales increased by 3% and 6.5% year-on-year, an increase of 0.6 and 3.1 percentage points from October.

From January to November 2021, production and sales of passenger cars totaled 18.879 million units and 19.060 million units, up 6.9% and 7.1% year-on-year, respectively, an increase of 1.7 percentage points from January to October. Compared with the same period in 2019, production and sales fell by 1.7% and 1% year-on-year, respectively, and the decline rate was narrowed by 0.6 and 0.9 percentage points respectively from January to October.

In November 2021, among the main varieties of passenger cars, compared with the previous month, the production and sales of multi-purpose passenger cars (MPVs) declined, and the other three major types of passenger cars showed growth; compared with the same period last year, the production and sales of the four major types of passenger cars continued to decline, and the decline in multi-functional passenger cars (MPVs) was more obvious.

From January to November 2021, among the main varieties of passenger cars, compared with the same period last year, the production and sales of the four major types of passenger car varieties showed growth, and the growth rate continued to decline compared with January to October.

In November 2021, domestic luxury car sales reached 319,000 units, an increase of 3.5% year-on-year, an increase of 9.4 percentage points lower than in October. From January to November, domestic luxury car sales reached 3.112 million units, an increase of 19.5% year-on-year, higher than the cumulative growth rate of passenger cars by 12.4 percentage points.
