The second-generation GS8 is based on the GPMA GAC Global Platform Modular Architecture L Platform, which is the first model of GAC Trumpchi Hybrid + Intelligent Dual-Core Drive Development Strategy, and the first Chinese brand model equipped with Toyota's fourth-generation THS Hybrid System.
The second generation of the GS8 after the replacement has a significant increase in the overall size, the fuel version is 4980x1950x1780mm, the hybrid version is 5015x1950x1780mm, and the wheelbase is 2920mm. The fuel version of the 2.0T engine has a maximum power of 185kW and a peak torque of 400N·m, matching aisin's third-generation 8AT transmission; the four-wheel drive version adopts Hende's latest electro-hydraulic torque manager, which has faster response speed, more accurate torque distribution, greater peak torque of four-wheel drive, and is equipped with a proprietary AVDC vehicle dynamic management system, which makes the vehicle dynamic performance more stable. The hybrid four-wheel drive version does not have a traditional drive shaft, and the driving force is provided separately by the motor on the rear axle, with a maximum power of 40 kW and a maximum torque of 121 N·m.
