Liu ming
Liu Ming, Ph.D. of China Academy of Art, Deputy Director of the Department of Chinese Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts of Shandong Academy of Arts, Associate Professor, Master Tutor, Director of Shandong Chinese Painting Society, Assistant Director of Zhang Zhimin Studio of National Academy of Painting of China, Tutor of Sketching and Creation Class of Shandong Artists Association.
Born in 1978. In 2006, he graduated from Shandong Academy of Arts with a master's degree in Chinese landscape painting, under the supervision of Professor Zhang Zhimin. After graduation, he stayed on to teach. In 2015, he graduated from the China Academy of Art with a ph.D. in Chinese landscape painting under the tutelage of Professor Lu Yushun.
Tutor's message
Liu Ming is a very good painter among contemporary young people. He received a good art education, especially his later phD studies at the China Academy of Arts, which is not easy for young people at this stage to reach this step, which stems from his hard work and persistent pursuit of art. What I feel more deeply from his contact with him is his sincerity in art, which has become the most important part of Liu Ming's life, which is reflected in his artistic creation, learning and dealing with people. His persistence in art is also destined to move forward firmly and steadily on this road all his life. He is also a person who loves life in particular, and likes to go to nature to feel the collision and communication between nature and heart. He always insisted on standing up with virtue, convincing people with reason, treating people with courtesy, and performing the world with art. Through the study and grasp of techniques and the tempering and understanding of life, Liu Ming's works present not only a schema, but also a cultural spirit, which is a grasp of the "Tao" higher than "technology", reflecting his in-depth study of national cultural traditions from the heart. On the other hand, we can also see that although he has a deep grasp of national culture, he is not old and old in his artistic practice, and there is a mark of the spirit of the times in his works, his own understanding and personal style. What Liu Ming pursues in his artistic creation is a harmonious value of the Chinese nation: being kind, natural, and virtuous, which is also what I ask of him.

Liu Ming was one of the earliest graduates of my graduate school and is now one of the young masters of the Academy of Fine Arts of Shandong Academy of Arts. Just like when I also said that I was a young strong faction, when I said that I was a young strong faction, I was very confident, and I thought that the people who charged on the battlefield were all young zhuang factions, and the veteran generals were in the rear command of the strategizing. Now Liu Ming has also reached the stage of the Shaozhuang sect, and it is time to contribute to the cause of art education in Shandong and even the whole country.
Liu Ming is a very hard-working and dedicated young teacher, uniting colleagues and being willing to dedicate. At the same time, he was also a very fortunate student in art, who used to study for my master's degree, and later was admitted to Mr. Lu Yushun's doctoral student. Although the style of my work is different from that of Mr. Lu Yushun, we are very good friends. If a student is trained by a tutor of different artistic styles, a new atmosphere, a new opportunity, or a new spark may appear.
A good artist should be orthodox and grandiose, and should make his own contribution to the entire human culture in this era. Liu Ming's recent works have undergone new changes and developments in the overall momentum of the picture, the use of different colors, the rigor of production and the meticulousness of the heart. I have a lot of confidence in him artistically and believe that he will make a difference.
