"Tianxingjian, a gentleman who keeps improving himself!" Human life is really short and small relative to the universe of heaven and earth, but human strength is incomparably strong, because life accompanies the movement of the universe and the change of the four hours, naturally rhythmic, continuous life, never stopped.
Wang Heng's name Heng, that is, has a constant, lasting meaning, and is born with a persistent power. Wang Heng lost his forearm and hands when he was four years old. This brings not only the inconvenience of life, but more importantly, for Wang Heng, who loves painting, artistic creation has become distant and difficult, but the more difficult it is, the more it stimulates his tenacity, makes him firm in his faith, strong and courageous, never gives up, and never changes the original intention and dream of art.
"If you don't accumulate steps, you can't go thousands of miles; if you don't accumulate small streams, you can't become a river and a sea." To be ambitious, we must start from a little bit. Wang Heng learned to study painting from an early age, starting from the mustard garden, and entered the right vein of traditional painting from the beginning. He received an undergraduate education in fine arts, and then obtained a master's degree from the China Academy of Arts, which has the foundation that Chinese painting should have. The admissions and teaching of graduate students of the China Academy of Arts emphasizes comprehensive professional skills, and the consideration of professional foundation and the cultivation of professional quality are very strict. Regardless of study, examination, and creation, Wang Heng's artistic path has not received special attention, he is the same as normal people, under the same requirements, this road is indeed not easy, he not only did not fall, but was excellent and became a leader. His painting path also confirms for us the loftiness and greatness of the artistic cause - it has spiritual power, can sublimate the soul, lead to life; but also confirms the equality and acceptance of art - no matter whether he is born high, whether he is rich or poor, whether he is healthy or perfect, he will not abandon anyone, he will not abandon any sincere painter and viewer, and he will give people comfort to the soul with common artistic laws. In the process of civilization in today's society, the prosperity of the material world has accelerated people's spiritual needs, aesthetic education has been raised to an unprecedented height, and Wang Heng's paintings just illustrate the current value of aesthetic education and the importance of art. Art may not strengthen a person's body, but it can strengthen a person's soul and give people spiritual satisfaction.
On the occasion of May Fourth Youth Day, Beijing Huaya Art Foundation launched the "Xingjian - Wang Heng Works Exhibition", exhibiting more than 60 of Wang Heng's recent works, which is a concentrated presentation of his artistic achievements. As a public welfare organization, Beijing Huaya Art Foundation has been committed to promoting the construction of contemporary culture and prospering artistic creation, paying special attention to and funding the growth of outstanding young artists. Wang Heng is the recipient of the Beijing May Fourth Youth Medal, and this exhibition also highlights the social responsibility and responsibility of the Beijing Huaya Art Foundation, and transmits the spirit of May Fourth, the vitality and positive energy of young people to the whole society.
Perhaps Wang Heng's paintings are not perfect, this exhibition is only a phased summary, the maturity of artistic concepts still needs long-term accumulation, and the formation of a personalized language feature still has a long way to go. But the good news is that Wang Heng clearly chose the freehand painting that best represents the spirit of Chinese, accumulated, honed, precipitated, and worked hard uninterruptedly, and already has the basic technical reserves and humanistic qualities. Like a professional runner, actively running towards the goal, with the adjustment of the stride length, the more you reach the second half, the closer you are to the goal, the more confident, the easier and more powerful.
I believe that Wang Heng has fully recognized his own strengths and weaknesses, will consciously take his own artistic path, and can specifically solve each art topic one by one. I bless him, through the extraordinary storms of life, and one day, he will reach the other side of the ideal and beautiful art.

Wang Heng
Born in 1983 in Dongzhi, Anhui. In 2009, he graduated from Communication University of China with a bachelor's degree in art and design. In 2009, he studied calligraphy with Mr. Yang Zaichun and the painter Mr. Ali Leigong, and in 2014 he studied freehand flower and bird painting from Mr. Zhang Lichen, and is now a master's student in the direction of freehand flowers and birds at the China Academy of Arts, and is under the guidance of his mentor Mr. Yin Shuyu.
In 2008, he was selected by the Olympic Organizing Committee as the torchbearer of the Beijing Olympic Games and was selected as one of the top 100 chinese university students of the year. During his work, he has won honorary medals such as Beijing May Fourth Youth, Anhui Province "Self-Improvement Model", and Chizhou Top Ten Outstanding Youth.
While creating calligraphy and painting, he also loves sports, taekwondo and football, and has won dozens of gold medals in the athletics of the national and provincial paralympic games and won the title of national outstanding athlete.
Invited to record "Lu Yu has a date", "we", "departure to happiness", "China Dream Show" and many other programs. He has lectured in colleges and universities and enterprises across the country and has been awarded the titles of Chinese Contemporary Inspirational Figure and Excellent Counselor.
