Ding Songjian graduated from the Affiliated Middle School of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1983, was admitted to the Oil Painting Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and after graduation, he stayed at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts to teach, and in 2013, he was transferred to the Affiliated Middle School of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts as the principal. Ding Songjian believes that he is still a pure "painter" in his bones, and he is devoted to landscape painting.
