Yao Xinxing, born in 1956, is a native of Huzhou. You Xi calligraphed and studied under Ying Jinyang, Shan Xiaotian, Tan Jiancheng, Wang Qiuye, Min Xuelin, and Mr. Tang Zhaoji. In the 1970s, he was a staff member of Shanlian Lake Pen Factory, and in 1981, he entered the Huzhou Calligraphy and Painting Institute, and then worked for a long time in government departments and CPPCC organs. He is currently a member of the China Arts and Crafts Society, the Zhejiang Artists Association, the Zhejiang Calligraphers Association, the Director of the Zhejiang Calligraphy Research Association, the Zhejiang Photographers Association, and the curator of Huzhou Tan Jiancheng Art Museum. In 1999, Hainan Publishing House published "Xin Zhai Essays", in 2008 Shanghai Calligraphy and Painting Publishing House published "Purple Sand Danqing", in 2012 Shanghai People's Fine Arts Publishing House published "Emerging Art", and sponsored by the Zhejiang Provincial Artists Association "Yao Xinxing Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition", in 2021 held the "Yao Xinxing Plum Blossom Painting Exhibition".
Paint porcelain
I have been in love with painting porcelain for more than ten years" One day in 2009, Hangzhou Yichen invited me to paint glazed porcelain for a friend in Jiangsu. Later, this batch of works also held the first thematic porcelain painting exhibition in the history of Huzhou at the Huzhou Museum, named "National Porcelain Ink Rhyme". CCTV's "Prosperous Collection" column has made a special feature for us.
After this exhibition, the interest in painting porcelain doubled, and I invited several friends to Jingdezhen for the first time and began to paint underglaze colors. Then, there was a second, a third time... For many years, I would go to Jingdezhen almost every year to paint porcelain. Go to Jingdezhen, along the road through Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi three provinces, passing through Xuancheng, Ningguo, Jixi, Shexian, Wuyuan, Xiuning, Jiangwan, after retirement, time is not limited, often drive thousands of miles, in addition to painting porcelain, you can also enjoy the scenery, the best of both worlds, not happy.
Rice paper was changed to porcelain bottles, the plane was changed to three-dimensional, and the ink became glaze. Over the years, the most painted is blue and white porcelain, and I have also been to Longquan to paint celadon porcelain. Painting porcelain with blue and white materials, like ink sprinkled on rice paper, thick and dry, outlined and rendered, endless fun" Later, I also tried to paint multicolored, glazed red, and there was another experience and taste.
Painting porcelain has been guided by my teachers Mr. Min Xuelin and Mr. Tang Zhaoji, over the years, there are many manuscripts, but limited to "skills", "circleable" is not much, "can point" less. Despite this, we still cherish ourselves and enjoy it.
Invited by the organizers today, with more than 40 porcelain paintings and more than 20 calligraphy and painting works, they will be exhibited in the Shenjiaben Historical and Cultural Park.
