On April 17th, "Inheritance and Pioneering - Laizhi Steel Ink Art Exhibition" opened at the National Academy of Painting of China. With the theme of "Inheritance and Development", the exhibition exhibits more than 100 classic works of the painter Laizhigang, and this exhibition is a concentrated report display of the artistic creation achievements of Laizhigang for more than 40 years.
The theme of this exhibition, "Inheritance and Pioneering", is inscribed by Mr. Zou Peizhu, which is not only an encouragement to Laizhigang, but also a ardent expectation for him, and it is also the artistic original intention that the painter Laizhigang has always upheld for many years. In the past 40 years, Lai Zhigang has deeply studied the traditional ink accumulation painting method, inherited the strengths of Gong Xian, Huang Binhong, Li Keyan and other predecessors of the ink accumulation landscape masters, familiarized himself with the laws of ink accumulation language, developed in inheritance, innovated in sketching, and improved in pondering, and gradually formed a style of coming.
Lai Zhigang has followed Jia Youfu and Li Xiaoke to conduct systematic professional studies, and has a relatively in-depth understanding and inheritance of Chinese landscape painting, especially Mr. Li Keyan's landscape painting.
Lu Yushun, president of the Chinese Academy of Paintings, commented: "Most of the large-scale landscape paintings of Laizhi steel are spread out with horizontal and full compositions, and the texture of the mountain stones is delicate and moist, which reveals a stubborn and hard atmosphere, which is quite like the axe splitting style of the Southern Song Dynasty Li Tang, and the clouds born from the mountains and rivers are ethereal and empty, and between the pure, they are pure, with Xuansu, color and ink blending, extremely dynamic and tense, showing the majestic and strong zhengda weather." We can feel Laizhigang's persistent efforts and adherence to the art of painting, and the in-depth study, excavation and grasp of traditional Chinese brush and ink. ＂
Lai Zhigang told reporters that in his creation, he has always pursued the poetry of the natural production of the picture and the fairy spirit of the paper - I hope that through my paintings, I can express the supreme aesthetic realm of the avenue to jane, the invisible elephant, the sound of the big sound, and the great beauty without words.
In terms of pen and ink language, I chose the path of pure ink painting in China, and what I can see in my picture is "black, white, gray", there is the ultimate translucent "black", there are also layered dimensions "gray", and there is ethereal "white". Such a pure ink language seems a little different in the contemporary colorful art world. Someone asked me, why can't the landscape painting be colored? I think that such pure colors are more in line with my personality or in line with my simple aesthetic pursuit of the road to simplicity, and the simplicity of ink painting can accommodate everything, that is, "ink wuji".
The works exhibited in this exhibition are diverse in scale, jump in style, but also have a pure artistic conception, which fully demonstrates Laizhigang's artistic talent for painting. His works such as "Art Road", "Great Tide", "Huangshan Smoke And Clouds" and other oversized and imposing, in the performance of mountains and stones, clouds, water and other aspects of the Southern Song Dynasty Li Tang's fierce road, open and close, showing the majestic and strong momentum; at the same time, his other hand-scrolled works "Fuchun Mountain Residence Map", "The Great River Goes East", "Jiang Xue", etc. through the delicate ink accumulation brush method, the natural landscapes such as heaven, earth, water, fog and other natural landscapes are infiltrated and expressed, so that the picture presents a vibrant, moist and subtle texture... The water mist is steaming and ethereal, which has a fairy charm that pays tribute to the ancient meaning, making people swim in it and forget about it.
Another place that makes people shine is his sketches, although small in size, but interesting, the painter will feel and pen power into one, in one breath, revealing a trace of natural frankness derived from the instinct of "Tao". It is reported that the exhibition will last until April 23.
