I have known Liu Fenglin for many years. When I was at Harbin Normal University, he was one of my students, and then he went to the National Academy of Painting to study in the advanced study class. He is from the grasslands of Inner Mongolia and is generous, honest, and down-to-earth in his study and work. I felt that he was conscientious and responsible during his tenure as class president of the National Academy of Painting and could fully serve his classmates. Looking closely at Liu Fenglin's landscape paintings, I feel that my recent works have changed a lot compared with before.

Chinese landscape painting is the painter's feeling and understanding of nature, and the resonance of the truth of life and the truth of art. The truth of art is to sublimate the truth of life, and to enhance the spiritual level and realm of thought. The painter's in-depth experience of the macroscopic universe and the microscopic world is elevated to the spiritual level and realm level, and transformed into his own inner state, which is a product of the spirit.

Liu Fenglin's birth and life have given him a profound experience and feeling for the northern landscape and grassland. It can be seen that these characteristics fully reflect his paintings. In the Harbin Chinese Painting Biennale, his "Grassland Residual Snow" performed very well in terms of artistic conception and experience.

In contact with him, I feel that he is a person who is good at thinking and summarizing experience, in the traditional aesthetic and modern aesthetics, he has been looking for his inner mirror image and expression language, watching his recent landscapes, thick ink, rich layers, and progress.
