The reporter learned from the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development that the comprehensive ecological management of the Licun River and Zhangcun River, which has attracted much attention from the public, has achieved phased results, and on May 1, the area from Junfeng Road to Chongqing Road of the Licun River was opened to the public, becoming a good place for citizens to get close to the water and go out.
The Licun River (Zhangcun River) Basin Ecological Environment Comprehensive Management and Development and Construction Headquarters, led by the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, together with the three districts of Shibei, Licang and Laoshan, as well as the Municipal Urban Investment Group, carried out comprehensive treatment of the lower reaches of the Licun River and Zhangcun River. All units work together to strengthen cooperation and make every effort to tackle tough problems. Up to now, the river management and coastal ecological restoration in four areas, including Junfeng Road to Chongqing Road in Licunhe, Shengli Bridge to the north bank of the estuary, Chongqing Road to the south bank of Zhoukou Road, and Heilongjiang Road to Chongqing Road in Zhangcunhe, have been completed and opened to the public on May 1.
Anchoring ecological restoration. Focusing on true nature and pleasant ecology, we adhere to the principle of "drawing a blueprint to the end", and continue to implement the systematic and restorative management of the Licun River and Zhangcun River. The concept of green, low-carbon and sponge city has been carried out throughout, and the ecological restoration area of more than 510,000 square meters has been completed, and native tree species such as Acer pentagonalis, Acer truncatum and Quercus marsh have been planted along the river to maintain the existing ecological substrate and enrich the diversity of animals and plants.
Complete the basic functions. Firmly grasp the key point of "improving people's livelihood and well-being", improve the functions of riverside cities, and make up for the shortcomings of the current situation in the region. About 6.8 kilometers of riverside greenways will be connected in series to activate the gray space under the existing bridge, more than 600 parking spaces will be built to enhance and supplement the parking system, 5 post stations will be added to enhance the existing commercial vitality, and theme nodes such as sports and leisure and children's amusement will be created to provide a "full-age, full-time, and comprehensive" vitality space to better meet the diversified needs of the masses and allow citizens to experience nature and enjoy ecology.
