On May 12, the launching ceremony of the first CCF Charity Day and the Technology Charity Conference hosted by the China Computer Federation (CCF) was held in Suzhou Huanxiu Lake. The conference brought together the heads of well-known universities, enterprises, industry associations and public welfare organizations at home and abroad to witness the launch of a series of innovative public welfare activities such as the CCF Technology Public Welfare Hour, and discussed the new path of integrated development of scientific and technological innovation and public welfare, aiming to make the results of high-quality development benefit a wider range of groups.
In the four technical sub-forums on the afternoon of the 12th, information accessibility invited developers with disabilities, user representatives, experts and scholars from different fields to build a platform for the whole ecosystem around how to achieve deep user participation in the research and development process of products and services, aiming to promote the inclusiveness of technology and ensure that all user groups, including the elderly and the disabled, can equally enjoy the convenience brought by digital technology. Mr. Cai Yongbin from Dongguan Yitong Information Technology Co., Ltd. gave a wonderful speech entitled "In-depth Design of Non-visual Products", sharing how to provide more convenience for the visually impaired through technological innovation.
Lu Chao, director of Shanghai Pudong NPI Public Welfare Foundation, talked about how to promote the better integration of special groups into society from the perspective of public welfare organizations.
Associate Professor Liu Huayu from the School of Computer Science and Technology of Jilin University shared his latest research on mobile app accessibility for the visually impaired.
Fu Yue, a teacher from Zhejiang Vocational College of Special Education, focused on the empowerment prospect and reshaping path of large models in special education.
These presentations not only demonstrated the important role of technology in promoting social good, but also provided rich food for thought and inspiration for the audience.
In the second half of the forum, Professor Zhao Jian, Executive Committee Member of CCF Public Welfare Working Committee and Dean of the School of Computer Science of Changchun University, Mr. Cai Yongbin, Professor Liu Huayu, Teacher Fu Yue and Assistant Director of CCF Public Welfare Working Committee Mr. Wang Wei jointly launched a roundtable forum on "Exploration of Multi-party Cooperation Models in the Technology Public Welfare Ecosystem". They had in-depth deliberations and discussions on how to build an inclusive, efficient, and collaborative technology public welfare ecosystem.
The experts who participated in the discussion analyzed the current challenges and opportunities in the field of technology public welfare from different perspectives such as users, practitioners, researchers, and educators. They agreed that technological developments should better serve society, especially those who are disadvantaged in accessing information.
