In the transfer workshop of the domestic garbage transfer station, the garbage transfer vehicle is filled with a can of compacted and packaged domestic garbage, passing through Huanwan Road, Qinglan Expressway and Hetao garbage transfer road, transported to the incineration plant for unloading, and returning after completing the garbage transfer task. In order to ensure that municipal solid waste is cleared every day, such a work process is 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, never interrupted. Affected by the high temperature and humidity environment, the peak of vehicle failure is every summer, coupled with the temperature of the surface and the heat of the engine in summer, which causes great pressure on the maintenance work. At this time, Zhang Chao, who is on the front line of maintenance, is sweating profusely every day, sweat soaking his work clothes, and his hands, arms, and face are full of oil. In order to improve the efficiency of maintenance and ensure the transfer of garbage, he did not care about waiting for the "tight" maintenance trench, moved the lying board, drilled under the narrow chassis and curled up to the bottom of the car for maintenance. During the emergency transfer of garbage diversion, in order to ensure the long-distance transfer of garbage transfer vehicles in hot weather in summer, Zhang Chao not only carried out targeted preparation of spare parts and emergency materials, but also carried out online emergency repair guidance through WeChat, telephone and other means, which effectively saved manpower and material resources and ensured that daily production and emergency transfer were correct.
The garbage transfer vehicle often jams the garbage dumping berth of the transfer workshop due to the corrosion of the rear compartment door hinge and the failure of the wire rope, which affects the normal rotation and delays the garbage transfer. The berth at the garbage dumping and compaction location is 2.6 meters long and 2.5 meters wide, and a 7.5-meter-high garbage transfer container is placed in the middle, and some garbage and sewage will be left on the platform. The work of repairing the garbage transfer container is carried out in such an environment, and the loader is often required to cooperate with the pull of the rear compartment door of the transfer container, which is a test of the courage and skill of the repairman. Whenever this happens, Zhang Chao will wear a safety rope and pass through the 20-centimeter gap between the loader and the berth entrance, while directing the vehicle, while carefully walking on the edge of the unloading port. He cooperated with another maintenance worker, one was responsible for hanging ropes, repairs, and command, and the other was responsible for driving the loader to drag and look, repair faults in time, solve the problem of transfer containers blocking berths, and ensure the smooth progress of garbage unloading and transfer. Years of experience in emergency repairs have enabled Zhang Chao to practice the skills of steady hands, hang safety cables, command vehicles to approach, go to the fault point, hang towing ropes, and command vehicles to return, until the rear door of the garbage transfer container is returned and repaired, all in one go.

In order to ensure the normal operation of the garbage transfer vehicle at night, the maintenance workshop arranges 3 people to be on duty in turn, responsible for the night technical support and minor repairs of the transfer vehicle. When he was on duty, Zhang Chao took maintenance tools and came to the underground transfer site early to check the vehicle failure and answer questions for the driver of the transfer vehicle. Or, take a flashlight and check the return repair vehicle in the trench to fix the vehicle malfunction. Whether it is a cold night with dripping water and ice, or a scorching summer heat, whether it is twelve o'clock in the middle of the night, or three or four o'clock in the morning, he is always on call. In a night, the driver of the transfer cart has to check the vehicle for seven or eight times at most, and repair four or five minor faults.
The rescue and repair that occurs at night has to accept the double difficulty test of weather and physical strength. The Xiaojia Bridge and Nugukou Bridge sections of the Qinglan Expressway are often places where maintenance workers talk about the color change of the bridge, and even a little daunted. The bridge is empty, the sea breeze of the winter night, blowing straight on his body, his whole body is frozen stiff, but Zhang Chao can't care about these at all, he takes a breath, gets under the car, and lies on his back on the hard and cold road. Zhang Chao has to go out for repairs like this almost 3 to 5 times a month.
Once, during the emergency transfer work of ensuring garbage diversion, Zhang Chao accepted the task of going out to repair an accident vehicle, starting from 9 o'clock in the evening, experiencing a series of operations such as accident treatment, dismantling the drive shaft, and removing the pneumatic brake, packing up the car repair tools, and when the trailer came back, the time was 3:26 in the morning. Another time, in the face of the pouring rain brought by Typhoon "Meihua", the maintenance workshop faced unprecedented flood control pressure. Zhang Chao and the members of the rescue commando team brought more than 200 bags of flood control sandbags to block the factory gate, and took the initiative to help brother units carry more than 160 bags of flood control sandbags. During the heavy rain, he inspected back and forth, cleaned up the leaking rainwater, the water did not reach his knees, entered the galos, and the sweat was washed away by the rain, although he was physically and mentally exhausted, tired and sleepy, Zhang Chao still worked hard to persevere, and ran all night on the front line of flood control work.
