When Zhang Chao left, my daughter was just two years old, and I couldn't bear to tell the child the truth, so I lied to her that her father was asleep. In those days, my daughter would always ask me, "When will Daddy wake up?"
Now, my daughter is 10 years old, sensible, knows, and accepts, but sometimes tells me that she doesn't want heroes, she just wants her father.
My daughter told me that there was a portrait of her father hanging in the stairwell of the teaching building of Qiyi Primary School, and she could see it on the way to fetch water.
In the beginning, she always asked me to fill the kettle at home, and she used the word "embarrassed" to express to me how she felt when she saw the portrait of her father. She didn't dare to look up at her father carefully, and every time she passed by, she ran away as fast as she could.
Finally, one day, she came home from school and said to me, "Mom, I took a closer look at my dad today, and I really look like my dad." As she spoke, she laughed happily and said stupidly, "Confirm it's biological!"
I opened my arms and learned from her hugging me, perhaps because of the lack of fatherly love that made her less secure, she would hug me many times a day.
She threw herself into my arms and continued, "Mom, I feel like my dad has been watching me, and I seem to hear his call, so I muster up the courage to stop and talk to him, 'Hi Zhang Chao, my dad, hello, do you know your daughter Zhang Shangzhu?'"
