On May 1, China's new energy vehicle manufacturers took the lead in releasing their report cards for April 2022.
Among them, NIO delivered a total of 5,074 smart electric vehicles in April, down 28.5% from 7,102 in April 2021. 1251 units of ES8, 1878 units of ES6, 1252 units of EC6 and 693 units of ET7 were delivered, respectively. The cumulative delivery volume from January to April 2022 was 30,842 units, an increase of 13.5% year-on-year.
Xiaopeng Automobile delivered 9,002 units in April, an increase of 75% year-on-year. Among them, Xiaopeng P7 delivered 3714 units, Xiaopeng P5 delivered 3564 units, and Xiaopeng G3 series delivered 1724 units. From January to April 2022, a total of 43,563 units were delivered, an increase of 136% year-on-year.
Ideal Cars delivered 4,167 units in April, all of which were Ideal ONE, down 24.7% year-on-year from 5,539 units in April 2021. From January to April 2022, a total of 35,883 units were delivered, an increase of 98% year-on-year.
According to the above data calculations, Xiaopeng Automobile's delivery volume in April is close to that of Weilai Automobile and Ideal Automobile. Behind this, it is mainly due to the serious epidemic situation in the Yangtze River Delta region with Shanghai as the core, which has seriously affected the supply chain, logistics and production of china's automotive industry. Among them, Changzhou, Jiangsu, the main production place of ideal automobiles, and Hefei, Anhui, the main production place of WEILAI Automobile, are in the core and surrounding areas of the Yangtze River Delta region, which are greatly affected.
The main production areas of Xiaopeng Automobile are the self-built factory in Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province, and the Haima Automobile Foundry in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, where the epidemic situation is relatively stable, so the delivery volume in April is less affected, becoming the only new energy vehicle manufacturer in Wei Xiaoli to maintain a year-on-year growth.
