According to the reading survey conducted by huazhong University of Science and Technology Library for teachers and students, more than 90% of readers affirm the importance of reading, more than 40% of readers can adhere to and complete the reading plan, and more than 45% of readers have a clear reading purpose.
From the survey, it can be seen that improving personal literacy and satisfying personal interests account for more than 60%, and this part of the readers believes that the most important purpose of reading is to enrich knowledge reserves. The survey results also show that the demand for academics, teaching, scientific research and other needs accounts for more than 30%.
