According to relevant information, Li Chunrong was born in 1964, and he graduated from Huazhong Institute of Technology in 1985, which is now Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and he previously studied electrical automation in ships and shipyards. Two years later, Li Chunrong received a master's degree certificate in management from Huazhong Institute of Technology.

In the same year, Li Chunrong began to join Dongfeng Motor, and five years later, Li Chunrong was appointed deputy chief of the quality management section of dongfeng motor's purchasing department.

After that, Li Chunrong successively served as the chief of the quality control section of Dongfeng Motor, the chief of the planning section of the purchasing department, and the secretary of the general manager of Dongfeng Motor Company at that time.

In 2001, Li Chunrong began to serve as the deputy director of the secretary office of the board of directors of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd., and only one year later, Li Chunrong was appointed as the deputy general manager of Dongfeng Yueda Kia Automobile Co., Ltd., and began to take charge of the company's sales business.

However, in 2005, Li Chunrong chose to leave the "battlefield" of Dongfeng Yueda Kia because of the conflict of interests among the company's shareholders.

He also used this time to go to the United States to complete the MBA at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Two years later, Li Chunrong returned to China, and he was appointed by Dongfeng Motor Company as the deputy general manager of dongfeng passenger car business unit, also as deputy general manager, but at that time, Dongfeng passenger car business department was in preparation and did not yet have a reliable foundation.

A year later, in August 2008, the Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Division was changed to Dongfeng Motor Company Passenger Vehicle Company, and Li Chunrong was already the deputy general manager in charge of sales of the company.

However, in 2017, Li Chunrong still chose to turn around and leave, and his next stop was Geely, who became the CEO of Proton. It is understood that Proton Automobile was formally acquired by Geely in the same year.

But the reason for his departure from Dongfeng is unclear. Founded in 1983, Proton Motors is the largest automobile company in Malaysia and a rare vehicle manufacturer in Southeast Asia.

At that time, Li Chunrong was actually 53 years old, and now he is 58 years old, and he expects him to do better before retiring.
