Sun Hualei is a native of Jinan, and his former home is on Bangpeng Street on the west side of Furong Street on Quancheng Road. After being discharged from the army in 1994, he was assigned to the Lixia District Public Security Bureau, where he served as a patrol officer and instructor, and then to the Quancheng Road Police Station in 2000. He has not left the community for 23 years since he joined the Furong Street community in 2001.
