* Adults read children's books
Parents are best able to accompany their children to read, and in the lower grades, they adopt the method of parent-child co-reading, and slowly transition to middle and high school children reading by themselves. We also recommend that adults read children's books, because children are not a miniature version of adults, they have their own world, parents can enter the children's world through reading children's books, on the one hand, grow up with children, accept the cultivation of literature, on the other hand, they can discuss with children looking for common topics, broaden their horizons, and enhance their thinking.
* Build a sense of reading ritual
If parents cannot read and discuss together because of time constraints, they can also establish a sense of ritual reading for families. Special reading corner, regular family meetings, discussions with children to determine the reading time, reading content. The sense of ceremony will make children feel that reading is a formal and interesting thing, a must for daily life.
* "Happy Reading" with the language
Each language book has content related to the reading of the whole book, and families can prepare books in advance and use the winter and summer vacations to read. In the Chinese class, the teacher will lead the children to develop a reading plan and learn some strategies through the reading of the whole book. Then, family reading can carry out extended reading of similar works based on the requirements of language books. For example:
