In mid-2021, Audi has announced that it will bring three pure electric concept cars under the name of "Sphere", which will reveal the brand's target vision for future electric vehicle models. Just after the release of Skysphere and Grandsphere, Audi finally officially released the large-scale pure electric crossover MPV concept car Urbansphere on April 19, 2022.
Urbansphere has been sized to a large MPV or Van, with body figures of 5.51 meters long, 2.01 meters wide, 1.78 meters high, and a wheelbase of 3.40 meters.
According to the original factory, Urbansphere is mainly built on the demand for cars in first-tier cities, and its large body size and level 4 autonomous driving level can add more imagination to the way the metropolitan area moves. At the same time, the original factory also emphasizes that the design of Urbansphere is from the inside out, which means that the original factory project is to put the needs of passengers in the first place when developing. Compared with the cold numbers such as the number of passengers and the size of the interior space when talking about interiors in today's car world, Urbanspher emphasizes the comfort, convenience and technology of passengers.
When you talk about Urbansphere's technology capabilities, you can't fail to mention its advanced infotainment system. In order to enhance the functionality of the infotainment system, the original factory introduced a large glass projection screen with almost the same width as the interior, and two additional screens behind the front seats to provide a more comprehensive rear-seat ride experience.
In terms of appearance, Urbansphere continues the Progressive Luxury design concept of the sphere series. The location of the traditional front-end intake dam and the lighting design in the center of the tailgate have adopted a matrix LED configuration, which brings a full sense of futurism; the headlight group adopts a more slender design, which also brings a rather neat and fierce feeling. In the side section, urbansphere can be found with a fairly rare folio door design that allows passengers to get in and out of the car more easily. In addition, the aluminum ring specifications under the Urbansphere foot are quite exaggerated 24 inches, which are combined with the rather streamlined roof lines to create a completely modern feel.
In the powertrain segment, the Urbansphere is equipped with a 120kWh lithium battery pack and two motors for the 800V system, which can provide a maximum power output of 295kW (about 401PS) and a maximum torque of 690 Nm. rice. It has a maximum range of 750 km, while in 270kW high-speed charging mode it takes only 10 minutes to deliver a range of 300 km and recharges from 5% to 80% in just 25 minutes.
