Although the "rising tide" of new energy is menacing, new energy consumption is still hot. In February, the new energy market sold 273,000 units, a sharp increase of 180.9% year-on-year, and the penetration rate reached 21.7%, and the market performance was strong. According to the association, the new energy market still maintained a triple-digit positive year-on-year growth in March, and the penetration rate is expected to reach a record high.

As the "cake" of the new energy vehicle market becomes bigger and bigger, car companies that want to share the "cake" are going forward to compete for market share. Aian, Xiaopeng, Ideal, Nezha, Zero Run in March sales have exceeded 10,000 vehicles, the competition is more intense, the new energy market pattern has also changed from the original Tesla to a "multi-strong competition" trend, the head market pattern changes rapidly, and the second camp of new energy is also catching up fiercely. As "market dominance" gradually becomes the main driving force, the sinking of new energy channels is obvious, and consumer demand is released steadily without relying on policies, and the market pattern will continue to accelerate its evolution.

In March, BYD's sales of new energy vehicles have exceeded 100,000 units, an increase of 400% year-on-year, and fuel vehicles are no longer accounting for the proportion. Who would have thought that the previous sales champions in China's new energy vehicle market, from Tesla to Wuling, and now to BYD, have undergone many changes.

"Wei Xiaoli", which was once a representative of the new car-making force car companies, has now changed the market pattern. In March, EAN sold 20,317 vehicles, the first of which exceeded 20,000 units, leading the new car-making enterprises. "Wei Xiaoli" has also gradually become "Xiaoli Wei", Xiaopeng Automobile delivered 15414 units in March, an increase of 148% month-on-month, an increase of 202% year-on-year, and won the second place in the new car-making force.

Despite the challenges of the epidemic and supply chain, the cumulative delivery volume of Xiaopeng Automobile in the first quarter reached 34,561 units, 2.6 times that of the same period last year, and the cumulative delivery volume of history has exceeded 170,000 vehicles, and the development situation is improving.

In March, Ideal Cars delivered 11,034 Ideal ONE units, an increase of 125.2% over March 2021. In the first quarter of 2022, Ideal Cars delivered a total of 31,716 units, an increase of 152.1% year-on-year. Since delivery, the cumulative delivery volume of Ideal ONE has reached 155804 units.

Weilai's sales continued to perform lower, and in March, Weilai sold 9985 vehicles, failing to break 10,000 vehicles, an increase of 37.6% year-on-year, and the growth rate slowed down. In the first quarter, NIO delivered 25,768 new vehicles, an increase of 28.5% year-on-year, and has delivered 192838 vehicles.

Looking at the new car-making force market, the latecomers are even more eager to see the tiger, the competition is fierce, and the second camp of car companies has even entered the first camp. Nezha Automobile sold 12,026 units in March, which has surpassed the previous first echelon Ofsoft and Ideal, an increase of 270% year-on-year, and the cumulative delivery volume in the first quarter was 30,152 units, an increase of 305% year-on-year.

A total of 10,059 zero-run cars were delivered in March, breaking through the 10,000 mark for the first time and entering the first camp of new car-making forces. Zero run increased by 193% month-on-month, monthly delivery growth rate exceeded 200% for 12 consecutive months, and cumulative delivery volume in the first quarter of 2022 increased by 410% year-on-year, and the overall development accelerated forward.

And Hechuang Automobile, Lantu Automobile, Extreme Kr Automobile, Skyworth Automobile also developed rapidly, accelerating to catch up with the first camp, Hechuang March sales of 3016 vehicles, an increase of 8000% year-on-year, Hechuang Z03 single-month delivery reached 1689 vehicles, rapid growth, Extreme Krypton sales in March 1795 vehicles, is expected to by the end of 2022, the national Extreme Krypton store size of more than 3000.

The sinking of the consumer market is accelerating

A surprising figure: in February, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles has reached 21.7%. The higher penetration rate also means that the driving trend of the new energy market is more significant, an obvious trend is that the sinking of new energy vehicle channels is accelerating, and the sales volume of non-restricted cities is gradually rising, from consumers forced to choose due to "listing" to active choice. Relevant data show that in 2021, the EV penetration rate of first-tier cities increased from 18.2% to 30.4%, and the penetration rate of new first-tier, second-tier and third-tier cities also increased significantly from 6.5%, 3.9% and 4.9% to 16.7%, 12.6% and 12.3% respectively, of which the new first-tier and second- and third-tier cities contributed 1.23 million new energy vehicle consumption increments, accounting for 69% of the annual new energy market increase, the new energy vehicle consumption market pattern has changed significantly, and the market driving force is obvious. The future development status is healthier.

On the other hand, in 2021, the sales of passenger cars in first-tier cities will account for only 10% of the total sales of the country, and the new first-tier cities, second-tier and third-tier cities are the larger consumer markets, accounting for 24%, 22% and 21% of the total sales of the country, respectively.

Industry insiders said that in the process of new energy vehicle sales from 3 million to 5 million and 10 million, the consumption of new energy vehicles will continue to sink, and the increment and sinking efficiency outside the first-tier cities will be very important, especially the new force car companies sink through channels to obtain better sales growth.

Judging from the market layout of new power car companies, channel construction has become the focus of future competition. The new car-making force "Wei Xiaoli" is vigorously carrying out the construction of offline channel networks. As of December 31, 2021, Xiaopeng Automobile's sales stores continued to expand rapidly, including 357 operating stores covering 129 cities. At present, the Xiaopeng Automobile brand super charging station has covered 337 cities across the country, and as of January 17, 2022, the number of Xiaopeng Automobile brand super charging stations has increased to 813.

As of March 31, 2022, Ideal Auto has 217 retail centers in the country, covering 102 cities, and 287 after-sales maintenance centers and authorized sheet metal spray centers, covering 211 cities. In March alone, NIO added 1 NIO center, 5 NIO spaces, and 2 NIO service centers, and the channel layout was more rapid.

In the future, the competition in the new energy market is undoubtedly more intense. NIO expects to release the 2022 ES8, ES6 and EC6 models equipped with the latest smart cockpit hardware in late May, and the new large five-seat SUV ES7 born on the NT2 platform will also be released at the same time. Ideal's second car, the Ideal L9, is also being launched in April 2022. Xiaopeng launched the medium and large SUV G9 this year, and is expected to start the booking with the middle of 2022, and the new energy market pattern is about to make a comeback.
