【1.5T"Big V8"】

This is the first full display of the chassis of the ideal L9. Like the One, the L9 is also a power layout with range extender + dedicated generator, front and rear dual motors four-wheel drive. But there is only one layout left in the same place. According to official figures, the powertrain of the ideal L9 contains these main components:

The ideal L9 drive motor produces a total of 330kW (449PS), 620Nm peak torque and 5.3s acceleration time from 100 km/h. The comprehensive thermal efficiency of the range extender is 40.5%, the full fuel endurance (CLTC) is 1315km, the pure electric endurance is 215km, and the fuel consumption in fuel mode is 5.9L/100km.

Electrification has made a significant increase in automotive performance, with the 449PS, 620Nm parameters set a few years ago, the same as the V8 turbine. Even now, the Ideal L9 claims to be a 5.3s acceleration between the 6- and 8-cylinder versions.

Zooming in on the range extender section, the markings on the internal combustion engine indicate that it comes from Xinchen Power. Among xinchen's several shelf products, there is a 1.5T internal combustion engine with a maximum power of 110kW (150PS) and a peak torque of 210Nm, and an improved version of this internal combustion engine may provide power for the L9. Ideal did not publish the parameters of the L9 generator, which is expected to be higher than the One's 60kW.

The front and rear motors of the L9 are designed in three-in-one, including motor body-reducer-motor controller, which can reduce the weight of the motor and leave room for floor space. The front motor is provided by Huichuan Power, and the rear motor is produced by UMC.

Comparing the overall body of the L9 with the ideal One, the middle and rear sections of the L9 have been greatly redesigned (they themselves use different platforms), and the two sides of the battery pack have added buffer zones and an additional set of stringers, which is good for the body to absorb the impact force from the front to the rear (X axis). In the face of 25% or even 10% frontal bias collisions, it is difficult to impact the battery, so the whole vehicle becomes safer. However, there is no less space for the battery and fuel tank than the ideal One.

This 44.5kWh ternary lithium battery comes from the Ningde era, and the battery energy is slightly higher than that of the One. Although the previous interior leaks showed that the L9 had a pure electric endurance (CLTC) of 200km, it was actually the ideal "hidden crotch". In actual use, the L9 can at least guarantee a real battery life of about 160-180km, and there is no need to recharge for five days a week commuting.

Although it is sufficient for home needs, if you want to go up to a higher market, the ideal One's existing front McPherson rear four-link suspension will still be disliked as not advanced enough. After the lateral arrangement of the range extender, the steering mechanism can only be arranged behind the front shaft axis. Correspondingly, the front brake caliper is placed in front of the front axle axis. Although this arrangement is not easy to suppress the nod when braking, and the steering feel will be weaker than the design arranged in front of the shaft, the users of the L9 are likely not to have a need for these details. Speaking of brakes, the front double-piston rear single-piston calipers are paired with motor energy recovery, and the braking force is not to be worried.

Air spring, which means that L9 has body lifting capacity, according to different driving modes, shock absorber soft and hard, body height will have different settings, taking into account the comfortable, dynamic driving style, or low wind resistance, high passability performance. The specific amount of lifting and lowering, how much ground clearance, may have to wait for the official release next month.

If the L9 is equipped with rear wheel steering, the red box position connected to the red rear suspension crossbar should be a steering machine. But on the rendering, we didn't find this hardware. Of course, in theory, there is enough space here to arrange this mechanism, but considering the cost of rear wheel steering, supply chain stability and other factors, and then think about the actual role of the 3°-5° steering angle of the rear wheel, it is not a pity not to provide rear wheel steering, but a more rational choice.

【Central Domain Controller, Electrical Architecture and Others】

Compared with these large pieces and hardware, the third part of today's revelations is relatively thin - a chip. This is the central domain controller of the Ideal L9, the controller body hardware and software are developed by Ideal, the chip is an ARM-based S32G automotive grade chip provided by NXP, and the power management and automotive network security processing functions meet the ASIL-D security level.

From conventional on-board electrical architecture to a central domain controller, in the words of a peer teacher, it is like evolving from ordinary home appliances to whole house intelligence. Electronic systems are no longer controlled by distributed small computing units, but are uniformly handed over to the "brain" of the central domain controller for computing, and the efficiency and freedom will be higher.

The ideal does not clearly indicate the control range of this "central" domain controller, but only shows that the software for functions such as powertrain, air conditioning, electronically controlled suspension and seat control system is all self-developed.
