Under the market pattern of volume prices, it can be cheaper with extended range, which has almost become the consensus of car companies. For example, AVATAR's first extended-range SUV has gradually become clear. The naming of the new car has been finalized as AVATR 07, and the declared size can be called a large size among mid-size SUVs. And, judging from the gradually clear product information, in addition to the blessing of the range extender, AVATR 07, which is technically suspected of reducing the proportion of Huawei, seems to want to make a big news in terms of price?
Compensating for range with an engine? AVATR 07 or focus on high performance
For the first time, the range extender structure was adopted, and the most direct question for AVATR 07 was, where did the range extender come from? It also belongs to Huawei's supply system, and the H15RT range extender equipped by the Wenjie model belongs to Xiaokang Power. In AVATAR's cooperation system, the heavy responsibility of the range extender can only be shouldered by Changan, which is responsible for automobile manufacturing. But whether it is the current Deep Blue car or Changan Qiyuan, its range extender only has a displacement of 1.5L. For AVATR 07, there is a suspicion of an alternative "small horse-drawn cart". Of course, with the exposure of the declaration information, as we calculated before, the range extender of AVATR 07 is consistent with that of dark blue G318. Both are 1.5-liter engines codenamed JL469ZQ1 with a maximum output of 115 kW.
A narrow and long block with a bore stroke ratio of 1.45, 500 bar high-pressure direct fuel injection, and 16 compression ratios are the technical highlights of this range extender. The fuel particles are broken as much as possible at ultra-high pressure, so as to avoid the problem that the mixed gas is easy to burn insufficient in the narrow and long combustion chamber. The ultra-high ignition energy of the spark plug is used to stimulate the combustion of mixed gas at a distance to avoid the problem of detonation. In this way, the Miller cycle is used to the maximum, so that the piston can travel a longer distance through the work inertia, so as to achieve higher power generation efficiency. According to the official statement, the power generation efficiency of the range extender can reach 1L of oil and 3.6 kWh. This is more than the traditional excellent value of 3.3 kWh. Of course, depending on the application of this series of technologies, there is a high probability that this range extender will use 95 gasoline. In this regard, there may be no gap between the ideal and the question.
The improvement of the power generation efficiency of the range extender can naturally reduce the fuel consumption of the vehicle. According to the data exposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, AVATR 07 is expected to be offered in two range-extender models, and will adopt two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive structures respectively. The fuel consumption of the two models is 6.08 and 6.37 L/100 km, respectively. This performance is indeed significantly lower than the M7 and Ideal L6, which are almost within the threshold of 7L/100km feed fuel consumption. The force of the range extender can theoretically reduce the burden on the power battery capacity carried by the vehicle. But AVATR 07 doesn't seem to be planning to do so.
According to the exposed information, the battery capacity of the two models is about 39kWh, and the difference between the two models and the M7 is between millimeters, and even slightly larger than the ideal L6. In terms of the stature of AVATR 07, this data can be called a large capacity. However, looking at the pure electric range, the AVATR 07 single-motor two-wheel drive model is 188km, and the dual-motor four-wheel drive model is 178km. In contrast, under the same WLTC working conditions, the pure electric range of the single motor M7 can step on the threshold of 200km. The ideal L6 of four-wheel drive also has a pure electric range of 182km. Not to mention in terms of vehicle weight, in fact, AVATR 07 is relatively lighter.
But the performance of the previous feed fuel consumption is not deceiving, so the answer to the question is directed to the performance part. In terms of range extender alone, the rear axle motor of the AVATR 07 can reach a maximum power of 231kW. In the case of the all-wheel drive version, a drive motor with a maximum output of 131 kW will be added to the front axle. In contrast, the ideal L6 has 130kW in the front and 170kW in the rear. The rear motor power of the M7 is only 200kW. It seems that the performance of AVATR 07 in pure electric mileage is because of the endorsement of performance. Of course, there is also the technical support of the range extender behind them. In the motor part, AVATR 07 can talk about more than performance.
Without Huawei motors, AVATR 07 has stronger performance?
In the declaration information, the rear drive motor model of AVATR 07 range extender is ATDM01, and the rear drive motor model of the pure electric version is XTDM39. The rear axle of the previous AVATR 11 is a Huawei TZ210XY584 model motor. Considering Huawei's latest high-speed motor, which still continues the naming method of the TZ210 model, AVATR 07 obviously chose to switch to an option other than Huawei in the drive motor part. As a model of permanent magnet synchronous motor on the rear axle, XTD is easily linked to Chang'an.
In fact, if you look at the declaration information of Changan Qiyuan E07, taking the pure electric model of AVATR 07 as an example, the front and rear motor power of the two models is completely the same (188kW in the front and 252kW in the rear). However, there is a slight difference in the model, and the model of Changan Qiyuan E07 rear axle motor is XTDM32. However, the drive motor part of AVATR 07 should be changed from Huawei supply to Changan supply, which should be a high probability event. And from the perspective of effect, the power of the rear motor of AVATR 07 is 22kW higher than that of AVATR 11.
With such high performance, it is almost impossible for a pure electric model not to be 800V. However, in addition to this, high-performance motors are often accompanied by ultra-high speeds. For example, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc., have handed over more than 20,000 rpm report cards. But on Chang'an's side, it seems that the direction of technological breakthrough is not brush speed. According to the trend of Changan's technology accumulation in the field of motors in recent years, the main direction of force is multi-layer motors on the one hand, and more magnetic poles on the other.
The former is well understood, and with the increase in the number of copper wire layers of the motor, the power and efficiency of the motor can also be greatly improved. And this increase does not sacrifice the space advantage of the motor. However, the structure of multi-layer motors is relatively complex, which tests the technical stability including heat dissipation pressure, and its own manufacturing cost will be higher.
As for the multi-stage motor, it can achieve high working efficiency through the interaction of multi-layer electromagnetic fields and the conversion of electrical energy. On top of this, the motor is able to deliver a higher torque output, so that a similar effect can be achieved without the need for excessive speeds. However, on the other hand, multiple poles will sacrifice volume and energy consumption to a certain extent. The specific choice depends on the needs and tuning of the manufacturer's development.
In short, at the level of traditional hardware, whether it is a range extender or a pure electric vehicle, the "content" of AVATR 07 is decreasing. The familiar Huawei figure may only be seen in the intelligent cockpit and intelligent driving part of the new car. The choice of technology, including range extenders and drive motors, is not necessarily entirely cost-conscious. For example, in terms of fuel consumption and performance, the performance of AVATR 07 is completely online. Of course, many supply systems are linked to Chang'an itself, which objectively helps to achieve the marginal effect of costs.
