When a model is particularly popular, what does the company do?
Usually, the company has two different development paths. The first path is to introduce more derivative models. Probably the only difference is the addition of a plug-in hybrid system on the Tiggo 8plus, which is already a very big innovation.
The second development path we can find, usually the enterprise does not have much research and development strength. A similar example is Wuling Motors.
Recently, the spy photos of Wuling's new micro-electric vehicles were exposed on the Internet. The new car will be named "Air EV", the currently known news, the positioning of this car or higher than the Hongguang MINIEV, will support fast charging, and provide a long-axis version and a short-axis version optional, compared to Wuling Hongguang MINIEV, perhaps the biggest change is fast charging.
Although there is not much news about this model at present, from the feedback of the majority of netizens, the car is also mixed. There are still many netizens who think that this car does not have much technical strength, that is, the old scooter, and the design is not as good as the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV, and it feels that the design elements are too strong.
In fact, I think that this also shows some helplessness for Wuling Motors.
First of all, Wuling Automobile is currently synonymous with high cost performance and cheapness in the minds of consumers, if Wuling Automobile launches a tall new energy vehicle, then users must not consider it, and users will definitely consider buying Geely, Great Wall, and even joint venture brand new energy vehicles.
On the other hand, at present, the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV is already selling very hot. Wuling Automobile is currently thinking about how to let such a popularity continue. On the one hand, it is to continue to develop the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV out of new colors or new configurations. But the impact of doing so is limited.
So on the other hand, Wuling will consider launching a new model, but as we just said, the launch of high-end models is not acceptable to users, so Wuling can only launch a cheap pure electric vehicle similar to Wuling Hongguang MINI EV.
So I think this may be the fate of Wuling Motors, on the one hand, it is very difficult to be high-end, and diversification is indeed very difficult. On the other hand, in the launch of similar models, users may not be able to accept it, and sales may not be able to surpass the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV.
