The recent BYD can be described as the limelight, its various models have been out of stock, under this strong momentum, the sales of this domestic new energy "brother" has also seen an explosive rise, in the last month even "anti-killing" SAIC Volkswagen, on the second place in monthly sales, and broke the long-term monopoly of "North and South Volkswagen" in one fell swoop.
The reason why BYD can suddenly burst into flames, in addition to benefiting from the emergence of DM-i super hybrid, its newly established "ocean network" sales network focusing on new energy vehicle series is also indispensable. However, at present, in addition to the explosive SUV model of Song PLUS, Ocean Network still lacks a car that can bear the banner of sales. But this situation may soon become history, because just last night, the first model of BYD Marine's warship series, the Destroyer 05, was officially launched!
The destroyer 05 is positioned as a compact sedan, with a price range of 119,800-15.58 million yuan, and in order to cater to the new energy image of the marine network, the new car series will be equipped with DM-i hybrid system, and provide 55km and 120km two different pure electric endurance versions.
In terms of appearance, the destroyer 05 is built with BYD's latest "marine aesthetics" design language, which is more youthful and bold than the dragon face design common in the previous Dynasty series.
The area of the front grille is not only huge, but the horizontal chrome trim in the middle has a strong sense of existence, coupled with the headlight design integrated with the middle net, which greatly widens the visual width of the front of the car. That's why when the new car was first exposed, some people mistakenly thought that this would be another flagship car of BYD.
In fact, the overall size of the destroyer 05 is no different from the normal A-class car, the body length of the 4780mm is 15mm longer than the existing Qin PLUS, and the width of the 1837mm, the height of the 1495mm and the wheelbase of 2718mm are the same as the QinPLUS. In fact, the destroyer 05 will also become the "Qin PLUS" of the ocean network in the follow-up, and together with its own brother models, BYD will seize the compact car market.
In the rear part of the car, the destroyer 05 has a more exquisite design than the Qin, the penetration + geometric dot matrix light group is more recognizable, and the tail mark of the "destroyer 05" that can represent its identity is placed in the lower right corner. However, if you only talk about the contour lines, the rear of the destroyer 05 will still remind people of the Qin PLUS model.
The interior is the same and the space is guaranteed
In the interior part, the overall layout of the destroyer 05 is similar to that of the Qin PLUS, which is also a big screen singing the protagonist, but the detailed design of the destroyer 05 will be closer to the existing ocean network model.
At the same time, in the collocation of interior colors, the destroyer 05 should also appear more jumpy, which is in line with the current positioning of the ocean network bias towards youth. Unlike the Qin PLUS DM-i, the Destroyer 05 replaced the electronic gear handle with a knob-style gear shift design.
Of course, if you want to become a blockbuster, in addition to design, you must also be practical enough. As a model for home users, the destroyer 05's performance in terms of space is among the best in its class, even compared with Japanese brands such as Honda and Nissan, which pay great attention to space utilization.
Motivation is the focus
Since the whole series is equipped with DM-i super hybrid as standard, the mechanical part of the destroyer 05 is naturally also a place of great concern to everyone. In terms of power, it adopts a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine dedicated to Xiaoyun plug and mix, with a maximum horsepower of 110 horses, a maximum torque of 135 Nm, and a thermal efficiency of up to 43.04%.
In the electric drive part, the 55km endurance model is equipped with a 180-horsepower drive motor, while the 120km model is equipped with a 197-horsepower drive motor, as the protagonist of the entire power system, the former can provide 7.6 seconds of "breaking 100" power for the destroyer 05, and the latter can complete the 100-kilometer acceleration in 7.3 seconds.
It is worth mentioning that the 120km endurance model also provides a 17kW fast charging interface, while the 55km endurance model can only replenish the battery through slow charging/home charging.
However, this is actually not important for the DM-i hybrid model, because even in a completely power-depleted state, the fuel consumption of the destroyer 05's 100 kilometers is only 3.8L, even if the oil price rises, the owners are under no pressure. If it is in a state of full oil and electricity, the total cruising range of the destroyer 05 can reach 1245km.
Competitiveness is not weak, but to prevent "inner rolling"
The exterior design is not bad, the interior has texture, the space is practical, the power is enough and fuel-efficient, and the price is not expensive! At first glance, the competitiveness of the Destroyer 05 in the same class is not weak at all, and with the improvement of the bydlers' brand image of BYD, it seems that this car has become another explosive model of BYD.
Compared with the joint venture rivals of the same level, the destroyer 05 provides stronger power, lower cost of use and higher configuration enjoyment at the same price; compared with the independent brand opponents at the same price, the more reassuring hybrid system and battery are a major advantage of the destroyer 05. BYD's accumulation in electrification in recent years and the control of costs can be described as vividly reflected in this car.
But the destroyer 05 is not "sit back and relax", such as the Dynasty series of Qin PLUS DM-i has a more entry-level price, but also has the popularity accumulated over the years, although the two cars are not much different in nature, but just as the English poetry school will never sell the Accord, for ordinary consumers may still be more inclined to choose their own familiar models.

From the product level, the current BYD does not need us to worry too much, but the brand strategy is really difficult to understand.
