Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman reported that Apple is planning to launch the iPhone SE 3 5G and the new iPad Air 5 at the new product event held in March. Specifically, Apple will hold a new iPhone SE launch on Tuesday, March 8.
According to previous revelations, the new iPhone SE 3 will be similar to the 2020 iPhone SE 2 version (based on the iPhone 8), but it will use a faster A-series chip, possibly A15, and 5G technology. It is also expected to include an improved camera.
The iPad Air 5 will also feature updated A-series chips and 5G network connectivity, but it is not expected to have major design changes. At least one new Mac with Apple-designed Silicon chips could be launched at the event, after previous rumors suggested it could be a Mac mini.
The March event is expected to be a purely digital conference rather than a hands-on presence, similar to Apple's events over the past two years. This summer, Apple will host the WWDC 2022 Worldwide Developers Conference, when Apple will launch new software and hold several themed events later this year.
As Gurman said before, Apple will have a series of product updates this fall, including a new iPhone, an updated AirPods Pro, a new Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE 2, an updated MacBook Air, a new iMac, and a Mac Pro.
