Speaking of comrades-in-arms, we are extremely cordial, enthusiastic, and even tearful, why is this? This is because we, the great school of the railway soldiers, have cultivated our fighting friendship that transcends family affection, love, and friendship.
Comrades-in-arms are like-minded people who come together for a common goal. A comrade-in-arms is a person who fights in a trench, lives and dies together, and suffers together. When everything is in danger, what I think of is to leave the hope of life to my comrades-in-arms and the danger of death to myself. Comrades-in-arms are people who are not afraid of sacrifice and go forward to succeed each other. In order to fulfill the will of the martyrs, the instructions of the comrades-in-arms, there was no fear, no cowering, and a new battle.
Officer and Soldier Life and Death
At 4 o'clock in the afternoon of August 21, 1966, General Long Guilin, the director of a detachment, led Gao Rong, chief of the operations section, translators and guards, from the headquarters and drove to the site of the emergency repair of the Shiqiu Bridge to inspect and guide the work. In an instant, guard Deng Dehai found that the enemy plane had begun to drop bombs, and immediately pressed the chief into a low depression and pounced on him. Enemy planes dived and dropped a large number of bombshells, steam bombs and steel balls. The air wave of the bomb explosion lifted them apart, throwing Director Long five or six meters out, and landed headfirst in a single bunker, with multiple injuries in the arm and tail, and the violent detonation made Director Long unconscious. Gao Rong, the chief of the operations section, and Liu Fuzheng, the driver, died on the spot. The car was blown up with more than a hundred holes, and the interpreter was seriously injured. The large blood vessels and nerves in the right arm of the guard Deng Dehai were blown off, and there were also several penetrating injuries on the left forearm, as well as multiple injuries to the neck and back.
After Deng Dehai woke up, regardless of the pain, he immediately rescued the chief. He struggled to throw the chief out of the single bunker with his wounded arms, but he was too badly wounded and bleeding profusely, and he fell unconscious again. At this time, Director Long woke up and immediately rescued the guards, and used a towel to help him tie up the wound to stop the bleeding, which won precious time to save Deng Dehai's life. A passing Vietnamese People's Army car took the injured chief, interpreter and security guard to the hospital for resuscitation. The long-term fighting life has forged a deep revolutionary friendship between the old and young generations of soldiers.
Sacrifice your life to save the company commander
On this day, an enemy plane swooped down along the ravine towards the Langti Station, and it was too late for air defense, so Zhao Company Commander shouted: "Air defense!" Lie down!" With a bang, the bomb exploded on the hillside about 100 meters away from them. A strong amount of gas came in the face wrapped in thick smoke. Immediately afterwards, the second enemy plane swooped down, and Chen Youlin looked up to see a lot of pineapple bullets, swaying in the sky and falling on top of their heads...
At this critical juncture of the test of life and death, there was a cat's ear hole eight or nine meters in front of Deng Xiaocheng, and there was also a cat's ear hole three or four meters to Chen Youlin's right. Just as a pineapple bomb was about to land, Deng Xiaocheng and Chen Youlin shouted in unison, and at the same time rushed towards the company commander without hesitation. Deng Xiaocheng covered the company commander's head and back with his body, and Chen Youlin covered the lower half of the company commander. As soon as the two of them pounced, a pineapple bomb exploded on Deng Xiaocheng's back. The blood of the three of them immediately came together.
Company Commander Zhao was the least injured because two soldiers were lying on his body. But he was still hit with 13 steel balls on his back, waist, legs, hands and other parts. One of the steel balls penetrated Deng Xiaocheng's shoulder and left temple, and due to the friction of the shoulder, after the steel ball entered his temple, it had lost its original strength and only stopped in a superficial position. Later, the doctor said that even if this Gang Bead advanced a little further, Company Commander Zhao would die.
The company commander sacrificed himself to file the bomb
One day in the early summer of 1969, in order to ensure the supply and transportation of materials at the front during the war, company commander Lei Dingfan led the soldiers to conduct a routine inspection of the newly built railway line. Soon after the inspection was launched, three gunshots rang out in the distance, which were the air defense sirens issued by the observation posts. The situation was urgent, and the company commander commanded the soldiers of our squad to quickly withdraw to a culvert under the roadbed, and the company commander asked the soldiers to stand in the middle of the culvert close to the cave wall, while he himself was on the side near the entrance of the cave, blocking the shrapnel that might hit him with his body! Enemy planes swooped down and dropped a large number of steel balls along the railway line. After the antiaircraft artillery units and the anti-aircraft companies of the battalions fought back, the enemy planes fled in panic. The two gunshots lifted the alarm, and the commanders and fighters walked out of the culvert one after another, and saw that the hole was densely covered with craters, and the company commander immediately used his body to block the bombs for his comrades. This is the love of officers and soldiers of the people's army! This is the comradeship of life and death!
The battalion commander wisely resolved the misunderstanding
On the afternoon of September 5, 1966, when the 4th Battalion High Aircraft Company shot down an enemy plane, company commander Luo Keliang immediately asked Wen to write a report on the battle situation, and sent the operator Li Zhiliang and the soldier Chen Chongming to the battalion headquarters in the form of urgent mail.
After returning to the company, Chen Chongming and the cooking squad leader Wang had a quarrel over eating, and the Wang squad leader took a step forward, snatched Chen Chongming's rice bowl and poured it into the pot. At this time, just as the measurement squad leader was passing by, a sprint rushed to him, stopped Chen Chongming's hand up, and with a "bang", the bullet passed through the roof. An accident was avoided.
The battalion commander heard the gunshots in the kitchen and hurried to inquire about the situation. Then he said to Chen Chongming and Li Zhiquan: "Xiao Hunan, after you finish eating, go to my and the instructor's bed to rest." After the two of them had dinner, they came to the battalion office, and the battalion commander said with a smile while handing over cigarettes: "Don't care about what happened in the cooking class just now, you two don't care, squad leader Wang is serious and responsible in his work, and the matter has passed, don't have any prejudices against him." Then he said to Chen Chongming: "We are all comrades-in-arms and brothers who came to aid Vietnam to resist the United States. Chen Chongming smiled and said, "Battalion commander, I was wrong, I went to apologize to squad leader Wang." ”
A contradiction hidden in the crisis was skillfully resolved by the battalion commander.
The friendship between life and death
On June 29, 1967, instructor Luo Hongshou conveyed an order for emergency operations to ensure the smooth flow of the railway. After Zhao Defa was excited, the ensuing nervousness was accompanied by a thousand thoughts, and he thought: The troops are secretly going abroad, and my relatives don't know that I have arrived at the front line of aiding Vietnam to resist the United States, if I have an accident, what will happen to them? Can my elderly parents take it? Then I thought that I took the initiative to sign up for the war, and no matter who I and my comrades-in-arms are on, the danger we face is the same, for the interests of the party and the people, and for the sake of world peace, even if I am sacrificed Zhao Defa, I will not frown.
He was about to go to the battlefield, he walked up to his fellow countryman Wang Zhongde, clasped his hands, and explained to him: "Zhongde, I have nothing to keep, there are only two sets of military uniforms in my class, and the only thing that can't be put down is my elderly parents, if I am glorious, please visit my parents often on my behalf, please." After speaking, he bowed deeply to him, and without looking back, he chased the bomb squad and walked towards the battlefield.
After a lapse of 50 years, Zhao Defa and Wang Zhongde, a friend of life and death, and other comrades-in-arms went to Vietnam to visit Zeng Fanyu, an old comrade-in-arms who had been separated for decades. The three old comrades-in-arms reunited, with endless words of bosom and endless comradeship.
