Today, Ford released a trailer for the upcoming new generation of hardcore SUV , Ford Everest (known domestically as the Roadbreaker) on YouTube, and confirmed that it will debut on March 1.
It is built on the same platform as the Ford Ranger pickup.
But compared with the Ranger in appearance, the new Ford Everest redesigned with a new style, with different grilles and front shapes, which are obviously different from the current city series models, and the overall look is more square, in line with its "tough guy" temperament, and the C-type daylights improve the recognition.
Interior information, foreign media said that the new Ford Everest is expected to maintain a high degree of similarity with the new Ranger, including a 12-inch diameter touch screen, a 10.1-inch full LCD meter and running Ford's SYNC4 infotainment system; without the Ranger's rear bucket, Everest will also provide more legroom and more cargo space.
Moreover, the new generation of products is moving towards the high-end market, and it is expected that its internal materials will be improved compared with its predecessor, but the specific changes will still have to wait for subsequent exposure.
In terms of power, the badge on the front fender indicates that it is equipped with a 3.0L V6 turbo diesel engine, possibly matching a 10-speed automatic transmission. Sharing much of the base with ranger also means that Everest could also get a four-cylinder 2.0L turbo diesel engine and a 2.3-liter EcoBoost petrol engine, as well as plug-in hybrid models. It is expected that after coming to China, it is likely to continue to use 2.3T gasoline engines.
